    I can see people finding swimming a bit repetitive, but I don’t know what races you’ve been watching if you think there’s no action. There are a few events where one person dominates, but it’s not like that’s a phenomenon limited to swimming. I do agree that programs could be reworked to create more difference between events.

    Something I do find annoying about swimming in general is the pacing of the finals sessions. Those medal ceremonies in between events really kill the momentum and hype of the session.

    Pappoe getting off the bike around 15 minutes after Duffy’s finish. I think she’s quite inexperienced as the referee was explaining the course to her. Credit to her for trying to complete the race though.

    Finally had a chance to watch the ceremony in full. I quite enjoyed it. I thought the tone fit the event well, and there was a uniquely British/English feel to it. It was definitely the best ceremony of this cycle so far.

    I have multiple VPNs. CBC stream wouldn’t play on any of them.

    I can’t find it live anywhere. CBC won’t work for me, and BBC, 7Plus, and MeWatch all have additional requirements.

    Yeah, the open allocation system is definitely having an impact in that regard. Yeah, that was cited by Cycling Canada as well: “The Commonwealth Games Mountain Bike XCO falls between two UCI Mountain Bike World Cup events in North America (Snowshoe USA and Mont-Sainte-Anne CAN). These events are a higher priority for both elite and developing athletes.”
