  1. Nah, even in North Korea the winner gets a win with 99.98% of the votes or so I guess those 13% for non-Putin in Russia are the people who managed to vote without an armed military person in the voting booth with them.
  2. One would imagine the chances may increase a little bit if it turns more into a combat sport, so not with controlled hits and such. Real fighting might be more...urban
  3. Obviously, there's no way any one of those should be in Qatar at all, I assume we all agree on that. I meant I wouldn't even have been surprised if Qatar would build a new stadium for every single one of these events (they most likely won't, but...it is Qatar).
  4. Wait, they're not going to use more slaves to build new stadiums for every single one of these World Cups?
  5. Nice weekend of short track skating, too bad the DJ messed things up between and even during races. Wonder how many people will leave with tinnitus
  6. being in 's way and being in 's way at one of the exchanges
  7. The result of that is that will have to do the relay with the line-up with which they got a 3rd place in the World Cup, followed by a win, a win and another win. Plus without Schulting the chance of actually getting a result is bigger anyway
  8. Koreans screwing each other in short track, one of the all-time classics
  9. It's about time they make the kick finishes illegal, where someone finishes with the skate up and the back of the skate in the ice. It's causing so many delays due to the ice having to be fixed.
  10. Especially the keirin, few events have so many contenders, with the biggest 'favourite' probably still having only like 10% chance
  11. Yeah, especially after those issues in the prone shooting (which were so odd, standing was fine) it's awesome to see how she fought back I do feel for Tandrevold for really letting it slip through her hands in the last weeks, but overall I'm enjoying this fight, I'd be happy with both of them as overall winner (different than that year with Vittozzi vs Wierer, where I was very strongly cheering for Vittozzi...), so it's a win-win situation for me as viewer
  12. Thanks! I'll look at it tomorrow I think, since right after my post Tiz-cycling went back up and had the link to UCI's YouTube video (which is unlisted, so one needs the link)
  13. Anyone have a clue where the UCI stream of day two can be found? I'd check Tiz-cycling, but their website is down again
  14. In a semi-perfect world (because in a perfect world this whole situation wouldn't have happened of course) both teams would very quickly agree to just stop the match until those assholes are removed, but yeah...I doubt that'll happen Good that he speaks up about it, a quick read in the comments seems to at least be overwhelmingly supportive.
  15. What I find most odd is that apparently there's two people fighting each other on Wikipedia editing (seriously, come on), but then they take this fight here and post on Totallympics only to post about their fight on Wikipedia This whole thread is honestly the weirdest and oddest thing (weirder than the death wishes/threats) I have seen in I guess around 10 years of Totallympics
  16. Holy moly, impressive memory Bib 108 for Tarjei, but in Pokljuka 2009 he was 4th behind Swiss Thomas Frei. https://web.archive.org/web/20150112111519/http://services.biathlonresults.com/results.aspx?RaceId=BT0910SWRLCP03SMSP
  17. Wow. Are Wikipedia people that petty that a simple normal page like this can apparently not stay open? Although reading back a bit in this thread, with some unexplainable shit-throwing back and forth going on....yeah, Wikipedia people seem...odd
  18. You may honestly wonder why someone like that bothers being a commentator I don't know anything about taekwondo, but if I was paid to do commentary, at the very least I'd try and pronounce the names
  19. Wow, that sounds even worse than those basic English commentators many sports have where they only call the athletes by the country "We're going to watch the quarter finals, it's Italy against Argentina!" and then goes on to only call them Italy and Argentina......in an individual sport
  20. Presidental elections have started in Russia
  21. 6-1 by now, I'm starting to think Sparta Prague really needs to start stepping up their game.
