  1. These days I have been reading the rules and I have a doubt about the elegibility of a song. In case the song is a collab between a singer of Country A (main singer) and a duet (or band) of Country B, would that song be elegible for Country A? Would it be different if the collab is with only a singer of Country B instead of a duet/band? Section 2 (Artist chocie and eligibility) only mentions the case of bands, but I'm not sure if a collab should also be included here.
  2. I had almost forgotten that game! I thought you were going to select 2014 World Cup QF, which was an impressive victory for France. Spain-France (basketball) has been the rivalry I have enjoyed the most this decade, just after Nadal-Federer-Djokovic. There have been really good games for both teams!
  3. Personally, the best moment of this decade has been the 2015 Eurobasket semifnal Spain vs France with 40 points of Pau Gasol: If we consider also 2010, the football World Cup final against the Netherlands was another incredible moment.
  4. In Spain I have no doubt with Rafael Nadal (tennis). The top6 will be completed with: Pau Gasol (basketball): Silver at London 2012, bronze at Rio 2016. He defeated France at 2015 Eurobasket in one the best moment of Spanish sport of the decade + NBA career. Mireia Belmonte (swimming): The best Spanish swimmer ever with 4 Olympic medals (1xGold, 2xSilver, 1xBronze). Carolina Marín (badminton): Olympic champion and first woman with 3 World titles in a row. Javier Gómez Noya (triathlon): Silver at London 2012 and 5 times World Champion. Saúl Craviotto (canoeing): In Tokyo he could become the Spaniard with more Olympic medals. In non-olympic sports, the best would be Marc Márquez (Moto GP). The best team would be the men's national basketball team, followed by women's waterpolo and women's basketball.
  5. Spain, Hungary and Montenegro will host the OQT.
  6. 22 athletes will represent Spain at Lausanne 2020, being our biggest delegation ever (9 in 2012 and 6 in 2016). TEAM SPAIN Curling (4): Oriol Gasto Carmen Pérez Aleix Raubert Ana Vázquez Ice Hockey (7): Eva Aizpurua Valeria Eliana Ansoleaga Luisa María González David Guilabert Pablo Mata Nadia Sancha Júlia Térmens Speed skating (3): Carla Álvarez Luisa María González Nil Llop Ski mountaineering (4): Ares Torra Marc Ràdua María Costa Ot Ferrer Snowboarding (2): Aina Gomariz Álvaro Romero Cross-country skiing (2): Marta Moreno Miquel Auladell Hopefully, we could also win our first medal in ski mountaineering.
  7. Well, if you consider bobsleigh and skeleton as a single sport, then yes. In fact, our single skeleton athlete (Ander Mirambell) is training a team of 2 boys and 2 girls to assure that Spain will still have representation once he is retired. Furthermore, we also have one athlete in para-bobsleigh (I'm not sure if he is still active, but he was last year). Ski jumping is a very curious case in Spain. Back in the 1970/80s the Four Hills Tournament was a success on TV, we had like 3/4 hills and we participated with some athletes at Sarajevo 1984, but suddenly everybody lost interest in the sport and the hills were closed.
  8. In Spain we also have only 2 federations (ice and snow) because individually, winter sports do not have enough licenses to create independent federations. In fact, there are several sports without a single participant right now (bobsleigh, luge, ski jumping and nordic combined).
  9. A few hundreds of fans have received the team in Madrid. Yesterday, the final was followed on TV by 812.000 people (12.4%):
  10. I completely agree with you. I hope Russia and Italy make it to the top4, so Germany qualifies a team and Carlos Llavador could obtain an individual spot if he beats Choupenitch and Siess.
  11. IT'S OVER!!! With an almost perfect second half, Spain beats Norway and reach the final! I couldn't be happier right now!
  12. I don't think so. Spain is competing much better than the expectations according to the real level of our players. Russia destroyed us and we suffered to win against Japan, so the Netherlands should be the clear favorite, as well as Norway was clearly the favorite to win today.
  13. Spain 6 up against Norway, will we flop it again as we already did against Sweden a few days ago and against France in Rio 2016? I hope not, but let's see! ¡Vamos Guerreras!
  14. But don't forget that winning that match means a very easy OQT, so it is also a very important match for Sweden.
  15. Awful game today, but good victory of Spain against Japan 33-31. Top6 (and OQT) is already secured! Now, let's see if we are lucky with the goal average and we could reach the SFs.
  16. Sweden completely destroyed us on the 2nd half and they managed to draw with one player less. It's a pity we didn't win this math considering we were 8 up, but it's still incredible that our team is competing against more talented teams. Good job, Guerreras!
  17. Halftime: 14-8 Come on, girls! A victory today would be very important to advance to SFs!
  18. 3 quotas but no medals for Spain... It has not been our best championship, but we accomplished the main goal, so I'm happy with the performance. I hope next year Botín/López could do it a little bit better and Paula Barceló is fully recovered of the injury.
  19. If I am not mistaken, it will be the first time that we send 3 males to the Olympics! Since Sidney 2000 we had always qualified 2 men.
  20. I don't know how you have lost today, but youth Hungarian players are very talented and I'm sure they will be a very successful generation for Hungarian handball. And maybe you are lucky and you still qualify for OQT...
  21. Olympic qualification standings after Day 4: 49er (4 quotas): 74 78 89 89 -------------- 90 98 106 131 49er FX (6 quotas): 63 81 81 89 90 92 -------------- 93 97 128 133 Nacra17 (5 quotas): 55 70 80 88 125 -------------- 146
  22. 27-26 5th victory for las Guerreras and the team advances to the Main Round with 4 points, so we are very close to qualify for the OQT. It's incredible that a team with such poor technical level compared to other teams have options to qualify for the semifinals without Carmen Martín, but the strongest point of this team is the competitiveness.
  23. 29-20 Very good 2nd half of Las Guerreras to assure the third victory in a row and qualify for the Main Round. The next game should be the easiest, so probably the best players will rest before the important match against Montenegro.
  24. Hungary has not played well today, but the team is very talented and I would say that you are in the big group of 8 teams that could earn a medal. The best moment of Spain has already passed, with only a few players remaining of the team that won the bronze medal 7 years ago and the youngers aren't as good as the veterans, so I think that the difference in terms of quality is so big that despite not being in the best form, you were still favorites.
  25. Thanks! I was expecting to lose against Romania and Hungary and playing against Montenegro for the 3rd place of the group, so these 2 victories are completely unexpected. A few days ago I thought that going to the OQT was impossible, and now at least we have some options to qualify, so let's see how the rest of the tournament goes. After watching both games, Hungary-Romania will be a very interesting match and I'm not sure who is the favorite right now, so good luck!
