  2. Good news for Kiwi tennis - if there are no results in singles, than there are doubles Michael Venus is in mixed doubles final, paired with Hao-Ching Chan. Venus won French Open earlier this year partnering Ryan Harrison.
  3. Felix Auger-Aliassime is in his second challenger final (born in 08/08/2000) He won Lyon previously this year. Should be in top 200 after this result
  4. No, the lowest ranked player to win a GS title was Mark Edmondson, ranked 212th. He won Australian Open in 1976 beating Ken Rosewall (#1 seed) in the semifinal and John Newcombe (#2 seed) in the final both in four sets. Newcombe was the defending champion. Ironically, Edmondson is still the last Australian who won Australian Open.

  6. Nine players ranked #1 in 25 years, 1975-2000. In last 17 years we had 15 them. And 5 them in the last decade only... And given the point difference between top 5 players, we'll see at least one more new name until the end of the year lol And if there wasn't Serena to lock 2013-2016, damn, it would have been even more crazy
  7. Well... these new "four" are yet "stars in the making", except Venus, ofc I guess you're all for Venus?
  8. If only now Delpo could take Nadal out Cheering for "southern" final
  9. I want final now Delpo and Schwarzie
  10. I admire Shapovalov's fighting spirit and nerves. I already snapped few times only watching Busta This was nice opportunity, 5-3 and a serve in first set, set points... But time works for him. He'll be great Denis

  12. I am so glad Delpo is in second week Women's matches today are far more interesting than men's. The only one I care about is Shapovalov-Carreno Busta. Kvitova-Muguruza is main treat together with Goerges and Stephens.
  13. Spot on It is disastrous how weak Ostapenko's serve is...
  14. Who would say that FOOTBALL would save the day
  15. London 2012 all over again -.- From 2-0 to 2-3
  16. Well, my favorites for today: Mannarino-Thiem. I am not satisfied with Dominic's game during USO Series. Actually, his game hasn't changed at all in the last 2-3 years. He sticks to his standard (hard) hitting game which is good enough for some players but Adrian is really tricky opponent, he can mix the game and on decent day is someone who mustun't be underestimated. Potential upset here, but I hope Thiem can secure second week at the Open Dzumhur-Rublev. Of course, I am always cheering for the youngsters and am really fond of Rublev's game. His forehand is superb, stunning shot! On some level, mentally, Rublev resembles so much on Safin Damir played very well in Winston-Salem, seems to be in good form and definitely can beat Rublev. A coin toss. Federer-Lopez. Only curious if Fed is up for another five-setter or his game will click. Feli... well given H2H shouldn't be a threat, but no one beats Lopez... 13 times in a row? Women's part: Kanepi-Osaka. Kanepi, even when she was injury free and wasn't coming back from a longer break, wasn't known as a consistent player but rather recognized for her random deep runs occasionally ending with a Premier title or GS quarterfinal. Seems to finding some form, but if Osaka plays like she did against Kerber, with positive winner/ue ratio, should be a win for her. Radwanska-Vandweghe. Played recently in Toronto with Aga winning in two... If Coco's hitting is hard and precise enough without hiccups, should be a second win for the American, but Aga's craftiness is undeniable even in such a season she's having. Ostapenko-Kasatkina. Well, match of the round for me. A 1997-born girls battle. Kasatkina won in the Charleston final, we said okay, it was still clay but Ostapenko ended up with a Roland Garros title (and her first WTA title ever) while Kasatkina is 8-8 after the title. However, in my opinion, Daria stagnated this year and given the fact this is hard, her heavy spin is not as effective as on clay and if she claws back into her passive play, she'll be easy pray for Jelena's attacking game. Oh, and one should always count on Ostapenko's meltdowns in hiccups Not that much interesting day.
  17. Limited knowledge is enough
  18. Noooooo Legend Btw, for now, Muguruza is #1

  20. ATP deserved it. Now cheering for Dolgopolov to maintain his level and take Nadal out. Someone could do the same to Federer so this US Open can finally become what ATP fans, who were mocking and ridiculing WTA, deserved But in my opinion, ATP really needs this... I am in Shapovalov's bandwagon
  21. Much better choice than Bouchard-Rodina
  22. Shapovalov is a beast The only thing that baffles me is he comes to the net so smoothly, naturally and yet his volleys are laughable He has to work on volleys definitely. Very, very exciting player to watch and cheer for. I really hope Nick will show his talent in Australia, avoiding injures and going mentol Not sure if you noticed but Tiafoe lost to much deciding sets recently. His choking abilities shouldn't be underrated -.- Coric winning against Zverev was really surprising given their recent form and overall development. I hoped Sascha could live up his seeding but... Maybe next time. Overall, very poor Slam results for Zverev this year. And Grisha.... He has a shot to the title, but if he avoids Federer. He cannot beat his idol and A version of himself Women's draw: biggest surprise for me was Petra winning. After some shitty matches this summer, she finally managed to score two wins in a row. Garcia will be tough challenge, and we know how Petra can go up and down, so I again expect some mess and loss at the end. Makarova Stephens Aleks Vekic Great tournament so far (regardless of the quality of the matches )
