  1. Ukrainian song is another trashy one
  2. Hopefully Hungarians in Vojvodina will vote massively
  3. Spanish song is such a guilty pleasure of mine. I liked Norwegian song in the semis but now I find it as generic as ever. On my list: HUN, POR and ESP so far
  4. and Croatia can end up very high. Song reminds me of Disney cartoons but the guy has great voice! Don't get the Italy hype
  5. Coric I would like to have Thiem-Zverev semifinal though. Great photos Sindo! I envy you! Lottner, Dodin, Siniakova, Bara Strycova... cool girls
  6. After few years, I watched entire show today and... I am speechless who much this contest deteriorated. TISC is many many level above this! Hungary definitely the only bearable song for me, and may I add Norway. Croatian entry was so-so. Serbia and Macedonia were bad - I mean, I didn't hear they were singing at all Romania and Belarus hilarious. @OlympicIRL You never know with the weddings. Would be nice to have, after so many years, a Totallympics wedding. We already have "bestmen" now to find a ring bearer
  7. Djokovic ended partnership with Vajda, Amanovic and Gritsch. I guess this is a non-formal goodbye to professional tennis Pity. At the end of June 2016 he looked untouchable, and now, he will be a journeyman. I mean, is it reasonable to do such a drastic changes when the most important part of tennis season is upon you Unless he decided to build everything up from the start are make some sacrifices this year to be ready for next. Really enigmatic fall.
  8. My top votes (I have evidence of): 2016 Annual: 12- Communions (DEN) - great discovery 11- JRBS (RUS) 10- Jain (FRA) 2016 Open: 12- Charly Garcia-Fanky (ARG) - absolutely adorable song!!! 11- The Raveonettes (DEN) - this one I knew, but I simply love The Raveonettes 10- Little Joy (BRA) 2017 Annual 12- JRBS (RUS) - jazzy, avantgardish with funny and yet brilliant lyrics. Loved it to bits. Didn't hear the song previously. Subscribed on the YT channel 11- Rag'n'Bone (GBR) - discovery for me. Loved the vocals, music... not my type of music but sounded different from the most of the songs 10- Alok (BRA) - the whistling, pretty melodic and rhythmic. 2015 Open - if I remember I gave Portugal 12 points (or it was Annual contest and probably once again 12 to Denmark)
  9. Communions are the best discovery for me! I still listen to Forget it's a dream regularly
  10. I always go by my preference. Luckily for someone, I am totally anti-mainstream oriented Also, believe it or not, Rag'n'Bone weren't familiar to me at all. I heard the song here for the first time (and as I mentioned before, few weeks ago in the coffee house). my first choice for this Annual TISC was the next song: But since New Zealand performed poorly in recent editions, I decided to pick a song that would attract much more votes (I think Joshi's Hollie Smith performed well as well as my pick Yumi Zouma back in 2015). I have such a treat for TISC Open this year, a song from the 1960s Hopefully it can perform better than my all-time favourite Kiwi song "Pink Frost"
  11. 27 here too... Bot not for too long, turning 28 in August
  12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holger_Czukay I gave 12 points to Russia at this contest. Germany won TISC with Adel Tawil - Lieder. That was great song
  13. Bestmen can also be satisfied - after Tunisia, next host won't be from Europe too! TISC Annual - Brazil 2018
  14. For the Open contest you can nominate Holger Czukay and you'll have immediate 12 from me
  15. Sixth place for NZ, more than 100 points - all time best for the Kiwis See you in Tunisia! Congrats on fifth place. Decent song and great placement! Congrats on great debut at TISC Hopefully we'll hear some hidden gems at the 2017 Open TISC. Congrats on third place and also best ever. I still dislike the song Congrats on second place. Lovely, lovely song! Congrats on second win! Thank you @uk12points on great organization and fantastic ceremony! You really did great job! Hats off!
  16. I didn't say the best. It is all relative - they seem only to nominate the sound that fits into the mean of the curve which represents the general taste of the voters.
  17. Dislike Jk. I liked Maltese song, great to see such a small country in top 5
  18. Well, by average, I mean people who are not involved in some deep research, discussions, who do not seek for some music critics magazines etc... People listen to what they like and there is a music that is generally liked and music that is not. For my taste, the first ever contest here was the most quality on average; but later there always were some standout songs. I mean, I could go on and make the list of songs from each country that would "deserve" my 12 points. And I can bet I wouldn't fit into the majority. Still, I think language shouldn't be a barrier and isn't a major barrier in these contests. I guess, non-English speaking countries simply "fail" to nominate the sound that can get into other players heads enough. Or to fit in the median.
  19. Such a pity Vietnam didn't play since... Not a fan of Cher, but like the lyrics actually.
  20. Yes, to an average music lover. I already told in this thread that language is not important for me at all. I mean, I am madly in love with Cambodian garage/surf rock. I don't understand a single word (of course, I always search for translations) but complete sound, and feeling is on spot
