  1. USA are on the way to their old glory days! I hope most of their young players will pass the transition to senior tennis, like Fritz is doing lately. Great depth of players, most of them born in 1996-1998 span. Fritz, Paul, Tiafoe, Kozlov, Opelka, Mmoh, Donaldson... I was delighted with Fritz's performance in Memphis and Acapulco. That guy is great, and I expect him in top 50 very soon.
  2. Bah, cakewalk for Italy. On the other hand, the most interesting tie is between Germany and Czech Republic. Berdych is a big plus for the Czechs, but I hope Davis Cup will provide some surprise. As expected, even Hong (who won three Futures in Turkey over the last few weeks) was too strong for Statham. South Korea should become great power in men's tennis in upcoming years with, at least, 3-4 highly talented youngsters. Back on WTA, Kontaveit with two great back to back wins over Cibulkova and Errani
  3. WTA Race to Rio standings after Acapulco/Doha...

  5. Misfortune On a bright side, we should be able to organize the rest of scheduled contests.
  6. Read the opening post of this thread carefully. Once we get used to new software, open the most needed Olympic sports threads and establish some order, everyone will be able to open new threads. Be patient At this point, you better ask Sindo to allow you to open the thread you want
  7. Well, it seems Hong is going to play singles matches together with Chung. Hong vs Statham and Chung vs Venus on day with reverse rubbers on Sunday. As expected, Venus and Chung selected for all three days.
  8. Kyrgios is definitely out of Davis Cup, and Hewitt, like Nieminen, will step up and play at least one rubber if needed.
  9. Date and Venue Team 1 T1 T2 Team 2 March 3rd 2016, h. 12:10, Melbourne Park, Melbourne Australia 3 New Zealand March 3rd 2016, h. 12:10, Melbourne Park, Melbourne United States 12 Cook Islands March 3rd 2016, h. 12:10, Melbourne Park, Melbourne Mozambique 0 Nepal March 3rd 2016, h. 12:10, Melbourne Park, Melbourne Palau 100 Bangladesh
  10. Kiwis almost missed the tie due heavy snow in Korea lol Best NZ team with Tearney, Venus, Statham and Sitak will have very difficult task against young Korean team Chung (born in 1996), Hong (1997) and Duck-hee Lee (1998) with Chung and Lee playing in singles I think NZ chances are low. They have advantage in doubles only, with Sitak and Venus both ranked in top 100 and being experienced doubles players. Head coach will count on Venus during all three days...
  11. More interesting things happened on South American clay were Dominic Thiem's rise and Nadal's decline even on clay!
  12. Looking forward for Australia-USA tie. Hopefully Kyrgios will recover on time. He's been amazing over last few weeks, would be such a bummer if he misses the tie. One cannot rely on Bernie only
  13. Oh, we can now open the threads? Great.
