  1. ATP Singles Race to Rio 2016 as of March 7th, 2016 Note: Davis Cup participation was not considered. But it is known for sure that Kevin Anderson and Ivo Karlovic for instance, haven't played Davis Cup since 2011 and 2012 respectively. Therefore, they are not eligible.
  2. WTA Singles Race to Rio 2016 as of March 7th, 2016 Note: Fed Cup participation wasn't considered
  3. First qualifying matches in Indian Wells have started. Women's singles qualifying draw: http://www.wtatennis.com/SEWTATour-Archive/posting/2016/609/QS.pdf
  4. It might be early for the feedback. But I actually like this software better, definitely! The only thing I regret is the lost work. Guess that was the price (or in Sindo's case, additional one). At least we have already existing community and I believe we'll work it out this time too. I think we can start posting results again, but not as a mandatory thing. I would like to have some place where I can check results from sports I do not follow, or are difficult to find. Or even from more popular sports like football, but from competitions which are not covered widely. Over the last few years, totallympics was my main source of information and results. But above all, I would like to keep discussion as s priority.
  5. Big win for young Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, born in 2000, in Campinas 25k. She beat second seed Alize Lim 6-4 6-4 to win the biggest title so far for generation 2000. Other Pro titles for girls born in 2000: Claire Liu (USA) $10K Orlando Katarina Zavatska (UKR) $10K Telavi, $10K Sharm El Sheikh Olesya Pervushina (RUS) $10K Santa Margherita
  6. Andrey Rublev won his first ATP Challenger title and is the third player born in 1997 to do so after Zverev and Fritz. He did it as a qualifier, beating Mathieu 6-7 6-4 6-4 Rublev should play qualifications in California desert next.
  7. Such a pity Kei lost to Murray, would like to see deciding fifth rubber. Well, I am glad Kazakh coach let Nedovyesov to play. Even on this slow court I think Golubev could be more dangerous. I hope Novak won't play in July even if Murray shows up for GB
  8. I really don't know why on earth Novak played doubles. He is awful doubles player. Zimonjic is far away from his best days but he and Troicki would've been better option. Still, doubles rubber will always be the main problem. And when Novak is missing, any decent team can beat "Obradovic's dream team" Those glory days when Zimbabwe was in World Group quarterfinals I hope they can beat Georgia but that would be huge surprise. "Kazakhstani" are really crazy when play Davis Cup. I am wondering how much money they take for each Davis Cup win. Must be a lot. Pregnant with whom?
  9. [hide]Preliminary Round Eeeeee lkdsygcčnčislč aaaaaaa dhgfčlgifsn Ttttttt ssssss [/hide]
  10. Money is the main reason. It is some internal clash between ATP/WTA and ITF.
  11. Well, many players might actually skip Olympics, especially lower ranked since ITF decided not to award ATP/WTA ranking points. Despite being honor and unique opportunity even with "prestige" of being Olympic medalist, Olympic Games in tennis are not important that much.
  12. Here it is: Nikoloz BASILASHVILI Christian SIGSGAARD Aces 1 5 Double Faults 7 3 1st Serve % 73/123 (59%) 82/124 (66%) 1st Serve Points Won 43/73 (58%) 54/82 (65%) 2nd Serve % 43/50 (86%) 39/42 (92%) 2nd Serve Points Won 19/43 (44%) 21/39 (53%) Break Points Won 5/11 (45%) 10/14 (71%) Total Points Won 111 136 So many breaks on carpet
  13. I'll check if there is any match statistics, if it's trustworthy at all... But no matter how bad he's been this season, losing to a non ranked boy, who have only three losses in singles and only one win in doubles at ITF Pro Circuit level, last junior event played in July 2015 is really embarrassing. I read you chose fast surface and I think even Kubot could have been better choice for singles rubbers.
  14. I thought GER-CZE tie could be the most entertaining and I am glad I was right. Two five setters! Pity Zverev lost. If he only won that first set.... He had more points than Berdych, but we all know it is not deciding factor. I hope he can learn from this match. Tomorrow is the crucial match. If Germans win, I believe Zverev can deliver the third point. Well, I definitely didn't foresee Italy to struggle this much against weakened Switzerland!

  16. I am glad to see Durasovic succeeded to win. Norway have two great potentials, Viktor Durasovic and Casper Ruud. I hope both of them make top 100. I haven't heard of this boy, Christian Sigsgaard, he's either good or Basilashvili was in complete error mode. Huge surprise there, given the fact Georgia is a host. But also, I am wondering was it smart to choose carpet... It will suit Nielsen the best lol What a return for Nieminen, 6-0 6-0 6-0 Kinda expected result in SRB-KAZ tie, Kazakhstani players are really something different in Davis Cup (the Netherlands of Davis cup, lol) Now, cheering for Zverev with all heart Sabine.... no words -.-
  17. Ram, Fritz, McDonald, Del Potro and Tiafoe on men's side and Watson, Riske, Hantuchova, Davis, Crawford, Shuai Zhang, Rogers, Loeb on women's with MDWCs along with Sharapova's withdrawal... Tiafoe will become first player born in 1998 to play at some ATP Masters 1000 event.
  18. USA are on the way to their old glory days! I hope most of their young players will pass the transition to senior tennis, like Fritz is doing lately. Great depth of players, most of them born in 1996-1998 span. Fritz, Paul, Tiafoe, Kozlov, Opelka, Mmoh, Donaldson... I was delighted with Fritz's performance in Memphis and Acapulco. That guy is great, and I expect him in top 50 very soon.
  19. Bah, cakewalk for Italy. On the other hand, the most interesting tie is between Germany and Czech Republic. Berdych is a big plus for the Czechs, but I hope Davis Cup will provide some surprise. As expected, even Hong (who won three Futures in Turkey over the last few weeks) was too strong for Statham. South Korea should become great power in men's tennis in upcoming years with, at least, 3-4 highly talented youngsters. Back on WTA, Kontaveit with two great back to back wins over Cibulkova and Errani
  20. WTA Race to Rio standings after Acapulco/Doha...

  22. Misfortune On a bright side, we should be able to organize the rest of scheduled contests.
  23. Read the opening post of this thread carefully. Once we get used to new software, open the most needed Olympic sports threads and establish some order, everyone will be able to open new threads. Be patient At this point, you better ask Sindo to allow you to open the thread you want
