  1. They weren't #1 for nothing. Some of the top players can still dream about three grand slam finals and title!
  2. JJ is enigma as always, but given her record against Radwanska, I am not confident at all. ------------ What a change when you switch to Irving challenger, it looks much faster Donaldson breaks Smyczek for 6-5, serving for the set now.
  3. I watched that Totally out of control...
  4. I reckon it was one of her Auusie Open gems I noticed she doesn't hit as hard as before, guess it has to do with her mono and frequent gym activity lol She does look skinnier than ever I miss 2011 Petra
  5. Spoiled kids... But yes, Belinda's whining is going on my nerves. Ostapenko is crazy, Nick "detests" tennis
  6. Jesus, this surface in Indian Wells is deadly slow. Kvitova can't pass through average retriever like Gibbs, I am afraid what Radwanska is going to do to her Apart from shaky serve, I am pretty satisfied with her game. On faster court she should beat Gibbs in two... But we love P3tra A win is a win
  7. Ana does not belong in that group He is 19, give him a year or two. Even two years younger he is a grown up compared to Kyrgios lol
  8. Impressive! I would love to see him beating Nadal or Verdasco
  9. Double break for Zverev in the second, he must use this. Simon is not at his best, many errors, but Zverev is holding very well in relays Tim van Rijthoven won! Great comeback, 3-6 7-6(6) 6-2
  10. Van Rijthoven saved 4 match points and won second set 8-6 in tie break!
  11. Early break for Zverev... same for Johnson!

  13. Delbonis Arrrgh, Felix Auger had to withdraw from Drummondville. Nevertheless, still some promising youngsters to follow: Blake Mott vs Nicolas Jarry, Deiton Baughman, Tim van Rijthoven (Dutch player has had some decent results recenty), Tommy Paul, Omar Jasika, Stefan Kozlov (cruel draw vs. Renzo Olivo). At least, second Canadian young hope still in the draw, Denis Shapovalov, playing another WC-Filip Peliwo, former Wimbledon junior champion who definitely regressed over the years. Drummondville draw: http://www.protennislive.com/posting/2016/7235/mds.pdf Irving challenger will probably be the strongest one this year: http://www.protennislive.com/posting/2016/6486/mds.pdf Tough draw for Tiafoe, hopefully he can surprise. Wonder if Rublev is going to fool around...
  14. When you'll learn to expect nothing from Ana? With ANY coach?
  15. 1. Tennis 2. Athletics 3. Swimming 4. Volleyball and fifth vote went to Basketball, historically I've been connected to it much more. I like to follow archery, badminton, diving, became a fan of road and track cycling over the last year, always enjoyed rowing, artistic gymnastics, handball, and at some extent field hockey. Only sports I have no clues about, but thanks to Totallympics, I became aware of many names, powerhouses in combat sports, sailing, modern pentathlon, triathlon...
  16. Let me contribute a little My obsession over the last 7-8 weeks:
  17. I feel so lonely on this board ------------------------------------------ Krstin keeps rolling
  18. Sascha Second set hiccup I can forgive, but these marathons are not necessary. Luckily there is one day off, but match against Simon (most likely) will be new hell...
  19. Disappointed with Khachanov! Had match points in both sets, second and third and succeeded to waste them. Good week, but could have been excellent,
  20. Zverev's backhand Solid first set from Zverev! One more
  21. Time to revenge Milojevic I think Krstin has decent chance for the title.
  22. Well, I sensed Allertova could surprise but didn't believe it... Very good, solid performance. I really like the way she plays. Muguruza is sinking Zhang-Wozniacki was screaming upset, so did Gasparyan-Vinci. I am really sorry Rita chocked 4-0 lead and missed two match points. I like her backhand a lot! Vinci had moments of pure brilliance though, definitely deserved win. There were more than five matches where one of the players saved match points and won eventually, I reckon. On the one hand, I am glad Ivanovic won, but on the other, I couldn't regret more for Tiafoe. If I could, I'll change Ivanovic's win for Tiafoe... However, surprisingly good effort from Tiafoe. Match wasn't of particular quality, but the tension was palpable. Frances is enjoyable to watch, but his physical stamina is worrying at the moment. Serve let him down in the deciding set. Kuznetsov continues with steady progress, that is great to see. Won't comment Kyrgios, his attitude. No surprise from Ramos anymore, after Federer, he "schooled" two youngsters in a row now I like Gavrilova as a player. Many consider her annoying, but she is amusing to me. Fun, with not so common display. But unfortunately, her mentality isn't the factor one can count on. Again losing her strings after finding herself in winning position. Stephens in 10-0 at International events this year and 0-2 at any higher grade WTA tournament Bouchard is coming back, slowly but surely.
  23. Well, I would like to believe everyone you mentioned will live up to own potential. I am particularly fond of Rublev, Zverev and Tiafoe. It is still early and apparently they have different paths of development. Some will mature lately, especially mentally. Kozlov had series of injuries if I remember well, I guess that is one of the reasons he slowed down in his progress. Glad to see Zverev won the match! It may not be important, and especially won't be important once they start to develop more and play regularly ATP World Tour events, but it can show something. And at this point of their careers, they are more like to junior-themselves than they'll be once in the future. However, I believe Fritz would have won if he had played Memphis-like level. Tiafoe has so much raw potential. If he continues to improve properly, he'll be amazing player.
