This week, we have Scottish Open. A number of new pairs are taking part here. Akshay Dewalkar will partner Tarun Kona in MD (this is their second tournament). I think Pranaav Chopra has decided to concentrate on his XD pairing with Sikki Reddy and is taking a break from MD. Sikki and Ashwini Ponappa will also start their partnership here. While in XD, top seeds Chopra/Reddy will look to win the tournament and continue to rise in the rankings. Ponappa will also take part alongside K Nandgopal.

Sindhu becomes the third Indian (after Saina/Srikanth double in 2014) to win China Open Superseries Premier event. This is her first Superseries title (3rd Indian to do win a Superseries title as well). Also, she should replace Saina as new Indian no.1 in the next rankings.

Is this years TISC rigged?? I mean how Finland has been in TOP 5 for so long?? Or just getting to TOP 5 for the 1st time ever
Because you have an amazing song. Best part was you chose a Finnish song. So many of the top songs this year (for me) were in English, that your non-English song was a breath of fresh air.

India's song didn't just tug at heartstrings, it pulled them out - so emotional and beautiful.
Thanks for the 12 points.

So, who say that Clinton is a good presidend?
It is not a question of who is a better president. I am just pointing out the flaw in Hillary's campaign. She (and media) alienated a lot of neutrals/democrats by calling them bigots/racist/misogynists and idiots.

Manu / Jwala were XD partners earlier also....
Only couple of tournaments. Nothing regular. Now, they plan to play regularly on the tour. Also, I have high hopes that Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will be a top player in 4-5 years time.

Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa have decided to stop playing together. Gutta has decided that from now on she will concentrate on XD more and would partner Manu Attri while Ponappa will partner Sikki Reddy in WD. Best of luck to the new pairs. Sikki is very good Doubles player and alongside the experienced Ashwini, she can improve a lot. Also, nice to see that our Doubles players are once again focusing on XD. Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Sikki Reddy are already doing well on tour this season and now Attri/Gutta should join them.

2016 Women's Field Hockey Asian Champions Trophy
Finals
India 2 - 1 China
India become the Champions for the 1st time...
Our women's team has improved a lot in the last 2 years. Going into 2014 Asian Games, we were 4th best team in Asia and now we have won the Asian Champions Trophy. Hopefully, we will be able to build on this spectacular performance and continue to rise.
