  1. Ecuador NR Almost surely qualified. Ireland into the lucky loser territory as well.
  2. At least one of will qualify for Tokyo...
  3. Men's epee - Semfinals Reytor Venet v Schwantes Blais-Belanger v Rodriguez
  4. Interesting. Sweden is suddenly listed as qualified in the M K1 200 m. https://www.canoeicf.com/sites/default/files/canoe_sprint_quota_allocation_-_tokyo_2020_-_media_format.pdf https://www.canoeicf.com/news/mexico-make-olympic-slalom-debut-after-quota-allocations
  5. Well, she still appeared on the start list for semfinals after not starting in the heats. Initially she had DNS next to her name in the heats, they must have changed it later. Either way, she is not listed to have completed any gate during heats either. More importantly, the ICF counted Mauritius as one of the min 3 nations, which allowed Morocco to qualify.
  6. Anyways, ICF seems to be pretty lenient with their own rules, so I'm pretty sure they will award the WK1 place tomorrow, since there were technically three nations on the entry list. Remember, there was a case where New Zealand earned a quota for WC1 200 m, even though there were technically only two eligible nations entered for that race (Australia qualified in the WC2 500 m earlier on).
  7. Well, tell that to the organizers in La Seu d'Urgell. Mauritius started in the semifinals after not starting in the heats.
  8. Mauritius DNS'd in the heats, but DNF'd in the final, so it counted. Therefore TPE has to start tomorrow.
  9. He achieved the CCI4*-S standard today, but still needs CCI4*-L, for which he will have one attempt. The standards are more or less the same, with the main difference being that 'CCI4*-S' stands for short format (6-7 minutes of cross-country), while 'CCI4*-L' stands for long format (10 minutes cross-country).
  10. Home safe aboard Seigneur Medicott. Now he will have exactly one attempt for the CCI4*-L level. Either Montelibretti (May 20-23), Baborowko (May 27-30) or Millstreet (June 3-6). My guess would be Baborowko.
  11. First results are in... And this must be the easiest course in history! 70 seconds long (MK1), and not a single of these low-level athletes missed a gate. I am starting to wonder if there were any upstream gates. And whether this is a flat-water slalom.
  12. added to the women's K1 start list. Instant favorite. EDIT: Not the athlete I thought it was. Kazakhstan should win this then.
  13. Japanese are getting overscored, what a shock...
  14. Nothing much wrong with swimming in theory... But given how much it is based around just a couple of powerhouse nations (and not to mention FINA's poor governance), I am surprised how it still wins this poll in a landslide...
  15. Cook Islands got awarded the quota for the men's K1. They now have four (!!) canoeists qualified.
  16. So far so good excellent for Fouaad Mirza. Both jumping and cross-country coming up tomorrow. http://results.strzegomhorsetrials.pl/files/2021/sso2/live/leaderboard06.html
  17. It's because Japan qualified via the Pan American qualifier, naturally.
  18. Funny how Pan American spots can end up in Europe/Asia just like that.
  19. Sailing and shooting used to have some open gendered events, but mostly not anymore (at least at the Olympics). There is also netball. Though I'm not sure how it works exactly, it is either open or mixed, I believe.
