  1. Not unless Ulik builds in a turbocharger... Everyone placed 61st or lower will score 3 pts.
  2. They are wrong. Slovakia will get 6 charity points for 91st+92nd. Dascalu therefore needs to be 22nd or higher.
  3. Can't wait for Pidcock to miss out, and then to have the entire mainstream news section calling this "incredibly unfair", "massive robbery", etc... Even though it's not. At all.
  4. List of eligible NOCs (last page). Poland would qualify if max one Tripartite nation applied... Very unlikely for a global event like men's single sculls.
  5. Kuwait seems like a lock for the women's tripartite spot. Why else would they send a completely non-competitive rower to Lucerne? For the rest we will see. Male quotas will be filled for sure.
  6. Curious what Vlad Dascalu is planning for today... Romania is qualified whatever happens, however if he enters the Top 20, he would take away a quota from Slovakia and hand it to Tom Pidcock, making his Olympic race more difficult... But to be honest, I very much doubt he is thinking about any of these. A dominant U23 rider of recent years, surely he only wants to give it all in these senior races...
  7. Queensland defeated South Australia to qualify Australia for the group competition. http://ausgymnasticschamps.com.au/AGC2018Results/Files/RG_Group_Senior.pdf Also qualified in the individual event. http://ausgymnasticschamps.com.au/AGC2018Results/Files/RG_Senior_International_All_Around.pdf
  8. How do they plan to 'beat covid-19' with an ice hockey tournament?
  9. Damn... I already assumed he achieved two Olympic standards at once...
  10. ICF is really not trying to make this World Cup thing too work... Too many events, too many athletes, too many races. There should only be Olympic events + few selected non-Olympic events at every WC stage. I mean, I got excited about this sport after we qualified a kayaker for the first time in a long time... Yet still I just don't have the patiance to scroll through all these endless results.
  11. Maybe this Orangehair43 dude is actually Thomas Bach breaking-in the news?
  12. Update on unconfirmed MERs... Dressage - (ind) Eventing - (team), (ind) Jumping - (ind) Bermuda is entered for Abrantes next week, which should be merely a matter of taking part (hopefully). Thailand and India will have their all-or-nothing competitions soon. Still no sign of Chile, Zimbabwe and Ukraine on the entry lists. Incidentally, I realized that Quilotta events in Chile are not listed under the MER events. Unless it gets added (impossible without a rule change), I'm afraid their quota is 99% gone... Ecuador stands to gain a reallocation (MER confirmed).
  13. Australia qualified in both genders at the Oceanian event. The end.
  14. One of Belarus or Ukraine withdrawing would be enough. Probably not going to happen, but as the first reserve (for Group C) he has to be ready.
  15. Damn... This part gave me chills. Quality of movement, background music, the whole package... Always nice to be reminded of the beauty of this sport. Full results (Pferd International CDI4*)... https://results.equestrian-hub.com/show/2005/dressage/32864 @hckošice Bugan made his post-lockdown international comeback. I guess he is preparing for the Europeans in September, for which he qualified today, and secretly hoping for a Tokyo reallocation.
  16. Dressage MERs confirmed for both Norway (Ellen Birgitte Farbrot & Red Rebel) and South Africa (Tanya Seymour & Ramoneur).
  17. Priscilla Tommy declined. Maybe retired? Or maybe Vanuatu are wannabe Dutch? https://www.ittf.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Tokyo_2020_WS_2021_05_14.pdf Sally Yee in.
  18. 0-2 Tripartite spots will be allocated here. Looking at the 2019 Worlds results, there are not many options. Only , in fact. entered athletes who are not eligible. Of course, there is a chance that both invitations will be handed in the sprint category...
  19. No, it was awarded based on the 2019 Worlds (where Schmid qualified for the semifinals and got 26th). https://123result.blob.core.windows.net/canoe/CS_2019/201201/949/WC1_SLER_29@Event Result.pdf Not quite another Elizabeth Swaney...
  20. And confirmed. https://www.canoeicf.com/sites/default/files/canoe_slalom_quota_allocation_-_tokyo_2020_-_media_format.pdf
  21. Nah, I'd argue it's much better than C1 200 m. That one is basically reaching gender equality with an event for disabled (much like with monobob).
