  1. Standings after Day 1. Compiegne organizers are using the dumb "Let's add up individual rankings to determine team results" approach... 11 12 40 Full results: Individual - https://results.worldsporttiming.com/event/44/competition/1142/result Team - https://results.worldsporttiming.com/event/44/championship/9/result Day of highs (Cassoe) and lows (Dufour) for Denmark. Video of each ride included in the individual results link.
  2. The same happened to the Austrian tournament... Who went 3-0.
  3. It's raining cats and dogs out there just before Thailand is about to go... EDIT: Chavatanont clear as well. Final confirmation tomorrow!
  4. Mirza clear aboard Dajara too, and still holding 1st and 2nd! This competition is becoming history-making for India. https://zawodykonne.com/zawody/199/tour/1/6?type=ranking
  5. Gorša must be in the all-time low form. This was pathetic.
  6. Mirza is home clear! A couple of iffy moments along the way (right corner somewhere in the middle, river crossing), but he made it happen.
  7. So apparently Latvia got robbed of their place in the women's LW2x?
  8. Ten teams will compete in Compiegne tomorrow! + individuals from https://results.worldsporttiming.com/event/44/competition/1142/startlist
  9. Competition 5 • CCI4*-L xc - Saturday, 29/05/2021 10:15 Competition 7A • CCI4*-L jumping - Sunday, 30/05/2021 10:45 It will be available only in live -- replays (normal or delayed) are not available to non-subscribers. By the way, it is possible to cheat this window-sized limit using the Ctrl++ option...
  10. Cape Verde and rhythmic gymnastics are like those newsletters you can never get rid off.
  11. @Dolby Fouaad Mirza owned the dressage today. 1st + 2nd! https://zawodykonne.com/zawody/199/tour/1/52?type=ranking To qualify for Tokyo, he needs to obtain the MER on either Seigneur Medicott or Dajara, but of course qualifying them both and having options would be ideal. Live stream should be available here (only live and window-sized content available for non-subscribers, but more than enough to follow).
  12. When will you start? It would be more interesting than usual given the pandemic.
  13. First major team announced! As I feared, Tamie Smith got disregarded. She is only the first, non-travelling reserve. Dutton and Martin renew their already permanent subscription of the U.S. team places. Liz Halliday-Sharp getting selected is pretty neat, though. A former auto racer who took part at the 24h of Le Mans. https://www.usef.org/media/press-releases/us-equestrian-announces-us-eventing-olympic
  14. What an opportunity for some skiing aficionado with a Saudi great-great-grandfather...
  15. First batch of Team South Africa. https://www.teamsa.co.za/team-sa-releases-first-squads-for-tokyo/
  16. Tokyo-bound Jonas Jonas has been charged with an attempted murder. Out on bail. https://allafrica.com/stories/202105270655.html
  17. As expected, Arinadtha Chavatanont & Boleybawn Prince delivered in the dressage today. They are a really solid combination, so normally they should be able to obtain MER quite easily come Sunday, but this is sport and anything can happen in one competition. https://zawodykonne.com/zawody/199/tour/1/39?type=ranking
  18. Water polo by a country mile... World Championships + World League with top priority, just to remove the possibility of the reigning title holders missing out. Then continental spots. And then the final tournament, where the most spots are awarded at once, and which is organized logically compared to the unrelated groups / home-away match nonsense from handball, field hockey and volleyball... And in the end, each team has four (!) pathways of qualification, so any failure is really and only up to them...
  19. Of course they will say this. The IOC will not be the one to pull the plug. It's all up to Tokyo. They lose money either way, but which one is more preferrable is for the argument.
  20. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2021/05/05/japan-ioc-olympic-contract/
  21. Good. So a couple of teams capable of staying within a lap in team sprint are back in.
  22. Mongolia beats Turkey, too. They will qualify.
