    Vanesa Tot got 4th today. Brilliant result, and so close to a historic podium finish. Hopefully Govorčinović will be able to deliver it tomorrow in her main event. Obviously, few athletes have chosen to go to Siberia, but a medal would still be a success for history books. I'm pretty sure we have not had any WC podiums for over a decade.

    Bronze for Garibović. Our only chance for the global qualifier. Long gone are the glory days of the Croatian women's team...

    Yeah, not winning a medal at home continental event spells pretty bad. But at least we will participate in this 'one night stand' sport. Congrats Slovakia! They probably do have a couple of chances at the global qualifier in June.

    Sadly, Camilla Kruger is still not appearing on entry lists for the forthcoming events. It's probably some injury, so I'm afraid no Tokyo for her. Same goes for Carlos Lobos, but that was to be expected with the events in Quillota not getting approved. Therefore, more likely than not, Ecuador and Austria will be stepping in for reallocations...

    Our largest canoeing delegation since Athens 2004. Back when the sport was less globally spread and when qualification was so much easier. In Rio we had nobody (sprint or slalom).
