  1. Artistic Gymnastics OGU Oceanian Championships 2021 Does anyone have results, the webpage only shows Australians competing, but wikipedia is showing New Zealand winning the men's quota so I'm wondering if there was a separate Oceania result file...
  2. withdrew in Men's RS:X, the quota goes to That's 4/10 boats New Zealand decided not to compete in.
  3. The final qualifier has been moved to Mexico. Link
  4. According to the Jordan Olympic Committee they have already qualified a quota (from Juliana Al Sadeq) due to getting a bye. She usually competes in the -67kg so are there really only three athletes in that event?
  5. Because the IOC is still trying to get North Korea to come to the games. I believe all the quotas North Korea has won won't be reallocated until the very end.
  6. What do they mean by "not declared" does the athlete need to submit their performance to Athletics Canada?
  7. They might decline their second quota. As for other countries that tend to decline quotas, New Zealand and South Africa will probably keep their quotas based on where their athletes rank in the world rankings.
  8. That's what happens when the IOC reduces quotas, but still wants sport federations to include tripartite quotas.
  9. What tripartite invitations? There are none in mountain biking.
  10. Correct, only the top 21 get quotas and Serbia didn't perform too well at the 2019 World Championships
  11. So if I got this right, the continental, 2019 worlds and 2019 U23 worlds quotas go to... Men - Africa - Pan America - Asia - World 1 - World 2 - U23 World 1 - U23 World 2 Women - Africa - Pan America - Asia - World 1 - World 2 - U23 World 1 - U23 World 2
  12. To be fair, the rankings originally had no barring on the qualification. The cancellation of the Pan America and World qualifiers caused this. Though the original reason as to why the World qualifiers were cancelled was because the European qualifiers were going to be delayed. In hindsight they should have cancelled the European qualifiers which haven't been completed and ran the World qualifiers. It would at least give athletes who were injured/pregnant in 2018/2019 a chance to qualify along with athletes who simply became better relative to what they were two years ago.
  13. I doubt there will be much PR damage, especially outside of Canada. Most people are understanding of the situation we are in and that some athletes will be unfortunately affected by it. If anything, it can be spun around to Canada trying to whine/complain its way to Olympic quotas. We are already pushing for a quota in canoeing and to a lesser extent a team in equestrian.
  14. For Iran their choice only effects Kuwait (they will get the opposite gender). For Indonesia their choice effects Hong Kong and South Korea. If they pick LM2x then South Korea gets LW2x and Hong Kong gets W1x. If they pick LW2x then Hong Kong gets LM2x and South Korea gets W1x. Everyone else has their quota settled.
  15. Yup, the host quota is first reallocated to the Asia/Oceania regatta, but since we only have five eligible boats the quota will get reallocated to the Final regatta where Japan finished third. Japan could have saved the craziness by just taking the W1x and LW2x quotas and then keep the M1x host quota.
  16. Kuwait's quota depends on which quota Iran picks (they'll get the opposite). That's because if Iran picks the men's quota then six nations will have taken a quota ( ) and 13th place Kuwait won't be eligible. This is similar to the Philippines and Thailand where they finished with a higher rank in a lightweight boat, but are not eligible due to three nations already qualifying. Regardless the women's single sculls host quota will be reallocated and as you mentioned it funnily goes back to Japan.
  17. France won a boat quota at the 2019 World Championships due to reallocation, but because Etienne Hubert also competed in the K2 1000m where France also won a quota they didn't win an athlete quota so the athlete quota was then reallocated to Spain (declined due to too many men's kayak quota) and then Argentina. So basically, France must compete in the men's K1 200m, K1 1000m and K2 1000m, but can only select three athletes.
  18. There's no point in Canada sending an athlete in men's K1 since we already have the max athlete quota. If we are going to send anyone it would be in the men's C1 1000m and women's K1 200m
  19. Looks like we may avoid a nation winning in the K2/C2 and K1/C1, forcing them to choose
  20. It looks like at least two athletes need to compete for the Oceania quota to be valid.
