  1. Took a look at the world rankings for these athletes. For the men Ali Alkhadrawi (rank: 164) leads all athletes at with Mohammed Abdulwahhab (rank: 260), Abdulaziz Bu Shulaybi (rank: 266) and Zaid Abo Yaman (rank: 320) being in the top 400. For the women, only 4/11 players have a world ranking. Mariana Sahakian (rank: 372) leads all athletes with the next highest ranked player being Baa Al-Wedian (rank: 475). Should she succeed, this would be Sahakian's second Olympics. Of course with rankings this low (due to lack of activity) anything could happen.
  2. Entry List For the men, 5 groups (4 athletes each) will play a round robin with the top two advancing to a single elimination tournament For the women, 3 groups (4 athletes in two, 3 athletes in one) will play a round robin with the top two advancing to a single elimination tournament.
  3. Someone must have clicked the flag above Gabon's?
  4. Seeding is based on the last two World Champs and continental games. did well during the 2019 African Games where they won five medals.
  5. All three are eligible to get a tripartite invitation. In terms of qualifying directly, Malta's best chances are in sailing (men's RS:X) and shooting (men's trap), Monaco would be in judo (men's -60kg) and table tennis (women's singles) and Montenegro has handball (women's tournament), karate (men's -67kg), tennis (women's singles) and water polo (men's tournament) as their best chances.
  6. has gotten a quota in wrestling due to doping violation reallocation. That leaves three European nations without a quota
  7. From what I gather, results will be post here. Hopefully it's done in a timely manner.
  8. Sailing qualifiers have been updated. Most nations have accepted the quota. still missing
  9. Due to no longer having a quota in equestrian, Sri Lanka has been added back on to the list
  10. RS:X - Day 4 (Olympic Standings) Men's RS:X - 14 - 29 Women's RS:X - 14 - 30 470 - Day 3 (Olympic Standings) Men's 470 - 7 - 17 Women's 470 - 6
  11. RS:X - Day 3 (Olympic Standings) Men's RS:X - 10 - 23 Women's RS:X - 11 - 25 470 - Day 2 (Olympic Standings) Men's 470 - 4 - 12 Women's 470 - 4
  12. Looks like the Asian Games results will be used. This means has qualified while = Asia 1 and = Asia 2
  13. Looks like the Asian Games results will be used. This means has qualified while = Asia 1 and = Asia 2
  14. Not surprised, most sport federations have the stance of allowing all eligible member federations to participate. Brazil isn't going to risk expulsion for Argentina, who isn't even participating.
  15. I don't think they will give both Palau and Tonga tripartite quotas, there are only two after all with other places like Belize, Dominica, Malta, Mozambique and North Macedonia all wanting a spot. The men's K1 200m race will be key. Palau also has an option on the women's side which is helpful as the men's side is a bit crowded.
  16. This will be the continental qualifier for Oceania. Here are the list of eligible nations in each event. There are other rules, but the simple way to look at it is a nation can only qualify one boat per boat class (men's kayak, men's canoe, women's kayak, women's canoe). Also at least three eligible nations must compete. Men's K1 200m - Men's K1 1000m - Men's K2 1000m - Men's C1 1000m - Women's K1 200m - Women's K1 500m - Women's K2 500m - Women's C1 200m - Women's C2 500m - I'm not sure if the three nation rule applies at the start or at the end. If the latter then the women's C1 200m and potentially the women's K1 200m (if New Zealand fails to win the K2 500m quota) will be reallocated.
  17. making a good case for the tripartite invitation...
  18. RS:X - Day 2 (Olympic Standings) Men's RS:X - 5 - 15 Women's RS:X - 6 - 15 470 - Day 1 (Olympic Standings) Men's 470 - 3 - 9 Women's 470 - 3 The results page for the women's 470 seems to imply Argentina is sailing by herself
  19. Yeah, there's a chance (small) that Sanders could win all the delegates in California due to no one breaking the 15% threshold. At that point it'll almost be guaranteed that Sanders will have the most delegates, only question would be if he'll get a majority. Even if one other person becomes viable Sanders taking ~2/3 of the delegates would still give him a strong lead, especially if he stays viable in Texas. The moderate dead lock likely won't be broken until after Super Tuesday. I don't see Biden dropping out unless he loses South Carolina and even then it's only a few days until Super Tuesday so it would likely be due to pressure from the DNC.
  20. RS:X - Day 1 (Olympic Standings) Men's RS:X - 3 - 9 Women's RS:X - 5 - 9 Looks like Brazil's athlete in the men's event didn't show up.
  21. I still think it's a bit ridiculous to have a world series event during the Olympics. They did the same thing in 2016. Even Lac St. Jean is a bad idea.
  22. Yeah, China is pretty much sending all of their athletes overseas and having them quarantined so they can still participate in qualifiers and the Olympics. By the end of the month/March all their athletes should be fine to compete anywhere.
  23. Canada got a decent group, third place is very possible which sets up a quarterfinal against Russia (or Germany/Netherlands). Of course it won't be easy and we'd still have to get past Croatia/Greece/Montenegro which is unlikely, but at least things are set up to make it possible oppose to being in the other group where we may finish third or fourth and have to face Greece/Montenegro during the quarterfinal.
  24. I'm reading that there will be quarterfinals for the women, still trying to find something more official.
