  1. Today is the first time I'm on Totallympics since the end of the Paris 2024 games. Or better yet, since the beginning of the Paris 2024 games. I was working and therefore it was a bit impossible for me to follow things here as I was busy around 12h a day and the other hours I was trying to meeting friends and have some fun in Paris. The experience was amazing. I would basically every morning go to a café and prepare myself for the day aheard. trying to go to different cafés was a bit hard after week 2. At evening I would go to some bar or bistro to meet friends and watch more events. Most of French and Parisiens were complaining about the Olympics (as they always do) but after the first few days (Opening Ceremony, Dupont, Marchand, etc) they were already head over heels and it was fun to witness that for the 3rd time in a row. It was amazing to meet @Sindoand @Jan Linhaand also chat with some other users during those days. And it will be nice to rewatch or properly watch many of the events and perhaps check what you all were discussing "in real time".
  2. I have a feeling that in Tokyo 2020 there were many strong contenders from no-medal countries, but this year, I agree with you, if 2 or 3 new countries appear will be good.
  3. Who got the quotas originally from Suriname and Israel in keirin?
  4. the 14th is in 66kg and the 15th is in 73kg
  5. 11 men, 4 women, I think IJF has not read many news regarding Paris 2024
  6. Thank you so much. So they got 3 quotas through Universality, 2 from tripartite (including judo). Sad they have rejected swimming's male quota (Jainny PINTO CARVALHO)
  7. I just realized that WA did the same thing in 800m as it had done in marathon: they removed 3 ranking quotas to give universality spots (including first to Cook Islands)
  8. I understand, your reasoning could obviously be applied by IOC and Boxing WG. But not necessarily. Cindy earned a normal quota and I think she was just incorporated into the Refugee Team as she has no other NOC.
  9. No Tripartite from UIMP I think only judo now is missing and one female quota for canoeing, right?
  10. UIPM just announced the 72 names https://www.uipmworld.org/news/paris-2024-olympic-games-modern-pentathlon-line-revealed Men's: Apart from the Australian quota that went to the 2 Universality quotas were reallocated to (2nd quota) Women's: Apart from the Russian and Belarusian, 2 Universality quotas were reallocated: to (2nd quota for both) +
  11. Don't see why they would have added a new quota, as she won her quota in a competitive fashion and is a competitive athlete.
  12. I would like to check all the athletes on the ranking, including those "bubbling under" or the other options from countries with 3 OQT. It is not available anymore,
  13. Has anybody by any chance printed the "Road to Paris" page last week? They have just erased all the "non-qualified" athletes and it's such a mayhem now, because they are not even the proper qualified athletes, just the "best 3" from each country and so on...
  14. Wow!!! I think this is true. Here is her reaction to this news: https://www.boxinghana.com/rady-gramane-of-mozambique-will-not-participate-in-the-olympics-as-ioc-autocratically-omits-him/
  15. Oops, thanks! I saw 2 differences from my table to the wikipedia, but both end up with 136 athletes. They have 9 athletes from Ukraine, but according to our Ukrainian friend here we have 8. And they are giving 3 athletes to PRK, when they are still probably with 4, but can double-up one of them. I think 136 is the "limit" according to this https://stillmed.olympics.com/media/Documents/Olympic-Games/Paris-2024/Paris2024-QS-FINA-Diving.pdf It doesn't have to be necessarily 50-50 split, so I'm not sure if the PRK quota would go to USA man in M10 or a New Zealand woman in W10. For Matej Nevešćanin I think it would be necessary to have 4 or 5 male quotas being rejected, not sure if it will happen.
  16. Those are the top28 that were not yet named or called... any chance for them? Only 2 women (Canada and New Zealand). I think if North Korea doubles 1 athlete, Kate Miller could get in, right? Edit: just realized that Australia already have 2 quotas on M10 Edit2: I think as Kate Miller has won a quota on Syncro she also has a quota on individual 19- USA Joshua HEDBERG M 10m springboard 20- PUR Emanuel VASQUEZ M 10m springboard 21- AUS Jaxon BOWSHIRE M 10m springboard 23- MAS Tze Liang OOI M 3m trampoline 23- ESP Jorge RODRIGUEZ LEDESMA M 10m springboard 24- CRO Matej NEVESCANIN M 3m trampoline 24- GER Jaden EIKERMAN M 10m springboard 25- CAN Kate MILLER W 10m springboard 25- ESP Adrian ABADIA M 3m trampoline 25- ESP Carlos CAMACHO DEL HOYO M 10m springboard 26- NZL Liam STONE M 3m trampoline 26- VEN Jesus Eduardo GONZALEZ REYES M 10m springboard 27- NZL Mikali DAWSON W 3m trampoline 27- PUR Emanuel VASQUEZ M 3m trampoline 27- MAS Enrique HAROLD M 10m springboard 28- NOR Isak BORSLIEN M 10m springboard
  17. Has Japan and North Korea have already named their squads I think Italy will be this one, right https://parigi2024.coni.it/en/sports/disciplina/11:Diving.html
  18. Someone on wikipedia got it wrong then. they included Mark Hrytsenko Kirill Boliukh
  19. For me, the female is between Marta, Ana Marcela Cunha or Mayra Aguiar the male, Isaquias Queiroz would be my pick (or maybe Marcelinho Huertas now hahaha)
  20. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Why there are onyl 15 greens? China would also be in right?
  21. As a Brazilian meme goes: The beginning of a dream: https://www.instagram.com/isabellabrettgymnast/p/C7gZPYppdaU/?img_index=1 All went wrong: https://www.instagram.com/isabellabrettgymnast/p/C8b2w2MyF8y/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading&img_index=1 As there were only Australian and NZ athletes competing in both 2023 or 2024 championships, I'm not sure FIG will reallocate it
  22. Reading this very late, but I wonder if they are going to invite way more female swimmers with OCT than male so Paris 2024 can have the gender equality they are hoping so much for
  23. There's the Sudanese guy (living in US) who never ran a marathon and got a Universality quota to Marathon
  24. ahhh so many, not even sure where to start. As I'm learning Norwegian, I tend to also cheer for some of Norwegians (will be so happy to see Karsten Warholm running below WR and earning a silver medal behind Alison dos Santos ) Timo Cavelius on judo would be the first name that comes to mind - and other LGBTQ athletes (but I also tend to support German judokas as well) I also love athletes from countries that have not yet won medals or gold medals!
