  1. Gustavo Bala Loka has an "RTS" on his side on the live scoring, does anyone have any idea of what's that? Thanks!!!
  2. Not exactly sports news, but Nicolas Keenan, bi Argentinean hockey player (and bi-Olympian lol) is fiancé to Rob Jetten, expected to be asked to form government in Netherlands in upcoming weeks (or months hahaha) A cool story on who they are and how they met (in Spanish): https://www.lanacion.com.ar/el-mundo/quien-es-nicolas-keenan-el-deportista-argentino-pareja-del-favorito-a-gobernar-holanda-y-como-se-nid30102025/
  3. oh no, Lucas Koo is a bit further than he was at the end of first stage of WT.
  4. Are the tickets expensive? Or maybe Indonesians are not big fans of AG?
  5. I'm curious on how will Diogo perform since he left Flamengo and turned down Pinheiros (two big clubs in Rio and São Paulo), which apparently is not a wise decision, career-wise. I think this will be a good competition to Flavia and. Julia Soares 'have fun' without pressure, and hoping to get medals. Julia Coutinho and Sophia Weisberg are both 15yo and it will be important for them to have the experience, specially the one who will do the AA (if not both).
  6. Coming back to sports discussion, you all want to play some bets on who medal on what? Or have you read any good predictions?
  7. On the fun side: the only two other big countries I saw are also not taking part of this World Championships are North Korea and Iran maybe it was a boycott But seriously: Does anyone know why they are not taking Part? In the last entry list, IRI was even on orange meaning FIG was waiting for their entries...
  8. Actually, they did: https://hmh.org/education/east-timor-1975-1999/ among many other sources.
  9. Hey thank you so much for this. Sorry for maybe the dumb question, but why some countries with 'full teams' have 2 men quota (like usa), while others have 5 (italy, china, etc) and some have 3 (poland) or 4 (japan). Is this related to the athletes who compete at the World Tour? Thanks!
  10. Woooow I can't believe I'm the first to comment here Rafal!!! thank you so much!!! Just checking, you are removing "extra" athletes when they are not allowed on Olympics, right? As in 2 judokas, etc... And out of curiosity, which criteria you took to choose the bronze medallist in table tennis, fencing, etc? I wish you would include the Russians and Belarussians, not only because I believe they will be fully back by LA28, but because it would be more accurate and also it's easier to remove on a calculation than add it later. But it's your fun, and I just love and thanks that you're sharing with us!!! :D
  11. Tell us later how it went. I live in a city 4 hours from Rio, but sometimes I go there... maybe I will be in Rio early October.
  12. I should have known that other Brazilians would have replied before. Yeah, Ipanema is my favorite in the city. Barra if you are around... (it's where the Olympic Park is located... i never been tbh).
  13. Copacabana Beach is great for the vibes and the whole neighbourhood, but it's not even top5 best beaches in Rio... Brazil has way prettier beaches, either in the northeast (Natal, Jericoacoara, etc), south (Florianópolis) or even in the state of Rio (Arraial do Cabo, Búzios, etc).
  14. Just to let everyone know that I LOVED going to the Olympic Stadium, it was an amazing experience (will reply you later!). Highly recommend. Next, I'm going to Armenia and Georgia, if there are any Totallympic members from those palces, would love to catch up! cheers
  15. Hey everyone, first of all, are there any Swedes around? I just arrived to Gothenburg and will go to Stockholm on Thursday or Friday (I thought about stopping in other cities, maybe Jönköping, but not sure). If anyone wants to grab a coffee or beer or watch sports together let me know! And I was wondering if there are still places from Stockholm 1912 that I could visit? or any museum or shop from Swedish Olympic Committee? any recommendations would be amazing! cheers, thanks!
  16. But that's what happens, right? The gymnasts can choose their apparatus on the R16, then on the R8 and finally on the final. I loved it, super strategic. The problem is that it is impossible to have 9 apparatus happening at the same time, so that's why they had to choose...
  17. Is someone following the Asian Judo Championship? Can't find any live streaming or live result for that (IFJ and Judo TV haven't updated the second day, for instance)
  18. What a run from Hugo Calderano to win the ITTF World Cup, beating #3 Harimoto Tomokazu, #2 Wang Chuqin and #1 Lin Shidong in a run!!! Does anyone know by the way, how and if Fan Zhendong can still participate in tournaments without ranking? Or if he's still playing in China?
  19. Boxing World Cup!! I'm so excited that we finally have a proper boxing tour. Hoping to see more nations coming up soon, but so far so good!
  20. It has been circulating in Brazilian press a new regulation from World Skate that would limit the age of athletes starting LA28. Basically only athletes that were born after January 1st, 2014, will be able to compete in this Olympic cycle. On 2029 onwards only athletes with 14 yo (born on Jan 1 onwards on that year) will be able to compete on World Skate events. Apparently the document would be released on April 9, but has been leaked (I have not seen the document). Some parts were published on Demetrio Vecchioli's blog, he's a journalist that has been for years and years advocating this minimum age for skateboarding, as you find in gymnastics, etc.
  21. Nice interview here: https://www.olympics.com/en/news/ioc-president-elect-kirsty-coventry-interview-challenge-status-quo I wonder if this quote below is only related to audience or would mean stricter rules to Universality quotas. It would be nice to make sure more athletes gain quotas and not the only (best) athlete get them for 3 or 4 times.
  22. At least you had the International Feature Oscar last year!
  23. Well, Bach is definitely popular. We have to remind ourselves that he considered a third term and we saw 1 hour or more of people begging him to do it during an IOC Session.
  24. I was eager to see the names of those eliminated...
  25. Wow 1st round!!! I did not see that coming.
