  1. Will FRance take only those who win quota on the OT or will they make sure they have a full time when possible?
  2. Guys, all those interpretations are fair and valid. But in the end UWW will do what it feels it's right and we have no idea what it will be. We have seen in this cycle some pretty absurd interpretations of its own rules by IFs.
  3. Actually Halep has no ranking so she can not get a legacy GS (one must be in the top400). The ranking for the legacy would be: 1- Osaka (4GS) 2- Kerber (3GS) 3- Bencic (1OG, #92), theoretically, but she gave birth on April 23th... 4- Wozniacki (1GS, #117) 5- Raducanu (1GS, #209) 6- Andreescu (1GS, #228)
  4. No news on the Perche aux Étoiles? I guess not a good day for Lavillenie?
  5. Nowhere on the document says that one NOC has to include athletes already nominated. Spain may feel that 2 races over the course of a couple of days is too much and select 10 athletes: 6 for individual and 4 for team. it is completely ok to do so. Maybe they prefer to keep their strongest options to be relaxed for the team competition. In addition 1 team Have they indicated who will participate in which?
  6. Tonsils, but so far only this https://x.com/TheTennisLetter/status/1801975820040421583
  7. Is there any Chilean on here? I think Jorge Antonio SALHE lives in Chile (a country with a big Palestinian community), but not so sure.
  8. Basically yeah. All is said on the above tweet. The NOC in exile is recognized (so we will remain with ) and the de facto government is not recognized at all. Not sure what to think of that... in this case everyone who is currently inside Afghanistan has no chance of participating in sports.
  9. Apparently it is being kind of broadcasted here alongside the normal schedule https://www.bfmtv.com/paris/en-direct/ but would be nice to have a live score...
  10. amazing!!! Any place to follow live score? I guess this is his last chance?
  11. According to my calculations, Canada frees 3 quotas and UK 5, so finally all finalists are officially in and now the semifinalists start to roll by. Wikipedia names some selected in France, Italy, Mexico, Ukraine & Australia. Is any of that official? if so, some quotas would roll by as well.
  12. I think this is as clear as any World Aquatics document is... very unclear hahaha They tend to make things dubious I guess to decide later what is the best. For me, it should go position by position, but hard to know indeed.
  13. there are 2 Legacy quotas. Apparently it would go to Kerber and Osaka... next in line: Carol and Raducanu. Carol just announced she's IN https://www.instagram.com/p/C8MMGNPATOC/?igsh=MW5lYXk4ZG12bnFuZA==
  14. He gave some declarations that he wants to go to the Olympics and win gold medal, I think he will def go, but maybe not so well-prepared. I bet his focus now is Wimbledon as well.
  15. any link for streaming or live results for the south american quota?
  16. and the format is horrible. #2 plays #2 #1 plays #1 in case of tie, #1 plays against #1 again? it makes no sense... why not #1 against #2, #2 against #1 and in case of tie, #1 against #1?
  17. I hope they do and then they get DSQ
  18. hahahaha i'm trying to think about it... I guess they wanted to make sure all the stars are in.
  19. This article very clearly states that "For Olympic tennis, National Olympic Committees (NOCs) will have to confirm that they will use the quota places by June 19." so it is mere speculation. Yuki Bhambri would be a better doubles pair for Bopanna, right?
  20. Any links for that, please?
  21. why is Eifler on ****? She should be the highest female without a quota now, right? in front of Isabel di Tella
  22. But the reallocation list should not follow through a woman? We had so far 3 female reallocations, 2 male reallocations and 2 male universality quotas
  23. Just to explain: Kelly Deguchi got the continental quota, that was pretty much safe already. But now Cuba will probably lose one quota and not be a contender for Team Invitation. Canada, therefore, will be the only country from the Americas with 5 judokas and will most probably get a Team Invitation quota for Ana Laura PORTUONDO ISASI (the best in her category).
  24. Do we have any official indication that Dimitrov is out (as in the case of Mertens)? thanks!!
  25. I've done a calculation in which they could have 86 athletes, only having 2 or 3 doubles pairs outside the top10, but this would be very harsh
