I think it would go Cuba!
  3. ah sorry, forgot about that. quick hypothetical question then: Uzbekistan already has 2 athletes. What would happened if a rellocation is necessary on +80kg? Could still Rafalovich be called and be a third male Uzbek as his quota is by the ranking?
  4. Apparently it's harder to get a Wikipedia page than an Olympic quota?
  5. But why would they just bring 1 athlete to the event and not 2?
  6. This Brazilian Twitter account - one of the best covering Olympic Sports remembered that actually a Saudi girl got a ranking quota on Judo for Tokyo. But Abutaleb was the first one to qualify through an OQT
  7. Brazil has an internal ruling to determine their boats qualified if it happens that more than 2 qualify: 1- Highest ranking on the A final 2a- if they are both 1st: the percentage to the WR 2b-if they don't finish 1st: the lowest time difference to the boat that won the race. if it is the same, than 2a is applied.

  9. Bit heartbreaking from his instagram I wonder if he will try a (very difficult) quota on Prague
  10. yeah, but on the continental championships, each NOC can only win 1 quota per gender.
  11. But if another athlete from Canada wins the K1, could Canada choose K1 and then the C1 quota would go to Argentina?
  12. D.1.3.2 "For Canoe single and Kayak single events, the athlete quota places will be allocated first in the Canoe single events". On my understanding the canoe quotas will be considered first, so Canada is not eligible for quotas in K1.
  13. The official document says the priority is for canoe

  15. Rio times 10h00 1st run C1 men and women (junior, u23 and senior) 11h15 2nd run C1 men and women (junior, u23 and senior) 13h30 1st run K1 men and women (junior, u23 and senior) 15h15 2nd run K1 men and women (junior, u23 and senior) They are doing a live broadcast here but comes and goes without audio
  16. But coming back to 2027 I wonder if Lima also hopes to host an OG. I think it is too much gamble, given the political issues. They certainly have done the best legacy plan for a Continental I've seen in a long time
  17. Thank you so much @Jur Yeah, @Olympian1010 I'm trying to check which countries get quotas via ranking from athletics, but obviously this changes everytime. But Michelle SMITH is the 38th on Race to Paris, from 40 quotas. On the edge, but there. No Universality has been announced. During the broadcast for ISA GAmes, Surfing has implied they knew already who got it, but were waiting to see if the athletes would qualify on their own (probably Candelaria Resano and Bryan Perez) and have mentioned they would be announced right after the ISA Games but nothing yet
  18. Ukraine and Russia never stoped playing in the tennis circuit and now are regularly facing each other in judo, fencing and some other sports. I highly doubt it will be an issue. Israel for me is more likely to cause concerns/issues when facing arab nations. We could have a very interesting Israel vs Morocco in football.
  19. It makes sense, but for 2040 it's been 24 years after Rio... I'm sure Brazil (and Mexico) is on a limbo because it's not either safe option neither ground breaking. With the lack of cities vying, it could open a path for São Paulo, provided that they host a superb Pan Am in 2031 and start to host more and more international sports events. But we know that the interest for hosting comes and goes. In the 70/80s it was fairly easy to get: only 4 cities in total applied for 76/80/84 and one of them pulled out - and other 2 for 88. But then in the 90s you had dozens of cities trying...
  20. This rule is barely inforced, only by federations to have a backing when they don't want to allow an athlete who refuses to defend the country in DC/BJKC (RSA with Kevin Anderson and CRO with Ivo Karlovic and TPE with Hsieh Su-wei with come to mind). Whoever wrote/comissioned this article obviously never followed tennis Olympic qualification.
  21. Surprised that Nikita RAFALOVICH was not chosen here
  22. I thought that Andy Murray said it once he was British when he would win and Scottish when he would lose, but I guess it's a urban myth?
  23. Update on quotas based on Road to Paris part2 (part 1) Curiously many athletes with EST are not on the Road to Paris, but usually from countries with many athletes, so I'm not making a fuzz out of it. If I see any case that affects directly a qualification I will mention here. 24. Not sure how officials are the rankings on World Skateboarding, but I saw some small mistakes on the number of points (nothing big), BUT Sharon PAZ is not on the 44 skaters listed here for the next phase. Instead Alisa FESSL is there. Does anyone know what happened to her?
  25. Hey everyone, I'm doing a major check on all lists. At first I compared my own tables to all names mentioned here. Now I'm on the Road to Paris, and I will include here the "missing" quotas I find there. Some are old and either they were not added here or I missed them, sorry if I ended up double-posting them As I'm going through them through each discipline and not competition, I thought it was easier to post like that. If anyone has any tip on how to better format the posts, please let me know Women's 100m- OK Women's 200m JaMeesia FORD - Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational - Clemson, USA (2024 Feb 10) Jadyn MAYS - NCAA Division I Indoor Championships - Boston, USA (2024 Mar 08) Rosey EFFIONG - SEC Indoor Championships - Fayetteville, USA (2024 Feb 24) Kaila JACKSON - NCAA Division I Indoor Championships - Boston, USA (2024 Mar 08) Women's 400m Kemi ADEKOYA- 2022 Asian Games - Hangzhou, CHN (2023 Sep 29) Salwa Eid NASER- 2022 Asian Games - Hangzhou, CHN (2023 Sep 30) Amber ANNING - SEC Indoor Championships - Fayetteville, USA (2024 Feb 24) Femke BOL - Indoor World Championships - Glasgow, Scotland, UK (2024 Mar 02) Jermaisha ARNOLD - NACAC U23 Championships - San José, Costa Rica (2023 Jul 22) Christine MALLARD - USA U20 Championships - Eugene, USA (2023 Jul 09) Kaylyn BROWN - SEC Indoor Championships - Fayetteville, USA (2024 Feb 24) Ziyah HOLMAN - NACAC U23 Championships - San José, Costa Rica (2023 Jul 22)
