    "An NOC can qualify a maximum of two (2) athlete quota places in each category, that is, Kayak men, Kayak women, Canoe men and Canoe women at the Continental Qualification Competitions." C2 boat = 2 and Oldershaw is the third athlete. The only hope now is Oldershaw wins the quota from next year's World Cup 2. Same scenario happened in 2016 iirc.

    has a difficult decision to make in men's canoe if both boats qualify. C2 broke the national record here (time wise), while Oldershaw had a disappointing result here, he is a former Olympic medalist. Who do you pick!?

    "The THA PR2 Mix2x and PR1 M1x have withdrawn from the event after the Draw and prior to the first heat. The actual on water rowing experience and ability of the crews was judged to be not of sufficient standard and could have a negative impact the operation of the regatta. The Executive Committee asked that they be withdrawn and this was accepted by the Thai team."

    Canada's brightest prospect (single sculls athlete) is a doubles boat here, I have no idea why, but I would imagine he is not fully recovere from an injury.

    I have never seen Canadian canoe kayak this week yet they qualified more quotas then in Rio.

    Nope! Bermuda won gold in Toronto 2015 (I was in the stadium and saw it live!). Same athlete won gold here (Jessica Lewis)
