  5. Let’s go for the title Benjamin!!
  6. I’m not going to be watching a single second of it as every time I try to watch an event (which is not very often mind you) I fall asleep (figure skating is probably my least favourite winter Olympic sport), but go
  7. I’m starting to think you have something against Canada. Between this and saying that the Canadian men have no chance at an Olympic medal in men’s basketball one would wonder. Sure, but the same thing could be said for pretty much all countries bar the United States and China. Australia has an even easier path to continental quotas than Canada would and I don’t see you complaining about them. So does Egypt. I wouldn’t disagree with you on the first sentence. Key word “if”, Canada isn’t in Europe and never will be so…

  10. Forgot about Lithuania, I’d replace them with Puerto Rico
  11. Olympic pools for our men’s and women’s basketball teams are now out. Time-slots for matches are still TBD. Canadian women will open their Olympic campaign against host-nation France on July 29, before encounters against Australia on August 1 and Nigeria on August 4. Canadian men will start off against the winner of OQT Greece on July 27, before encounters against Australia on July 30 and the winner of OQT Spain on August 2.
  12. Realistically speaking only 8 of those teams have a realistic chance at actually qualifying. Spain in OQT Spain, Montenegro/Latvia in OQT Latvia, Slovenia/Greece/ Dominican Republic in OQT Greece, and Italy/Lithuania in OQT Puerto Rico.
  13. Standings After Day 4 Team Homan (6-0) Team Tirinzoni (6-1) Team Constantini (5-1) Team Gim (5-1) Team Dupont (5-2) Team Hasselborg (4-3) Team Peterson (2-4, 1-0) Team Rørvik (2-4) Team Ueno (2-4, 0-1) Team Morrison (2-5) Team Smith (1-5) Team Turmann (1-6) Team Yıldız (1-6)
  14. Draw 11 Results 8 - 5 12 - 8 6 - 5 10 - 3
  15. HUGE victory for Team Homan as they defeat Switzerland 8-5, to improve to 6-0! Prior to this, Silvana Tirinzoni had won 42 consecutive games at the World Championships.
  16. And just like that Silvana Tirinzoni’s streak of 42 consecutive World Championships wins comes to end today.
  17. FOUR FOR CANADA!! lead 8-4 after seven ends.
  18. A miss by Alina Patz on her first in the 7th end, and a chance to lie 4 for Canada.
  19. 6-4 up on after six ends
  20. May want to check the previous page
  21. Not unless you want to pay for Recast credits.
  22. You do make a good first point, but I don’t think it’s a similar case for Canada. Murray and Wiggins aren’t just any NBA players, but decent ones at that. They’re also proven national team players, Wiggins was Canada’s best player at the Tokyo Olympic Qualification Tournament. Wiggins and Murray are good enough that they can make a huge difference in a game. As mentioned, I wouldn’t be surprised if Canada misses out on the quarterfinals entirely, but saying that Canada winning a medal would be a “big surprise” makes me laugh. Their expectations are much higher than that.
  23. Double angle raise for Homan to score two! What a shot!
  24. Draw 10 Results 10 - 4 7 - 4 11 - 3 6 - 3
