  1. Chile respond right before the end of the first quarter, with a goal by Renz Felipe. and are tied at 1-1
  2. In a critical encounter for Canada against Chile, Gordon Johnson scores a penalty corner goal in the 7th minute! lead 1-0
  3. Great day for my favourites. [13] Grigor Dimitrov got the better of Marton Fucsovics (honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if he was more known for his huge muscles rather than his tennis), winning 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1), 6-2 [11] Casper Ruud won against Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-1, 6-3, 6-1 Emma Raducanu also got her campaign up and running defeating Shelby Rogers 6-3, 6-2
  4. And not even ten minutes later another change?? This time for the end of Big Kok- Ofner. Meanwhile Zverev-Koepfer has had the entire match streamed.
  5. TSN switched from Rybakina-Pliskova to Rogers-Raducanu after the first set Both are good matchups, but I hate when they switch the match before the current one is over.
  6. Astec Safety Challenge | Lloydminister, Alberta, Canada Men 1. Team Koe 2. Team Carruthers 3. Team Retornaz 3. Team Mouat Full Results
  7. Cortina Curling Cup | Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy Women 1. Team Yildiz 2. Team Schwaller 3. Team Roervik Full Results Team Gim and Team Constantini both off the podium
  8. The fact that the 13th (alternate) athlete will only be able to compete if another athlete gets injured is so stupid. All the pre-Olympic training with your team, only to most likely not get a chance to compete. For most major international volleyball events the roster size is 14 (all playing) but of course the Olympics has to be different.
  9. Hali Flickinger (swimming) 2x Olympic bronze medalist at Tokyo 2020 in women’s 200m butterfly and women’s 400m individual medley, along with the Gwangju 2019/Budapest 2022 silver medalist in women’s 200m butterfly.
  10. Ever since late September, I’ve been kind of slacking with updating all the various athletics qualifications. It’s a lot of work, and well I got tired of doing it. @Cinnamon Bun is it possible if you can help me update all the marathons since then, and @Mateus Nagime all the various track/field events?

  15. defeats 3-2. Gao Jiesheng scored with one second left on the shot clock to grab all three points for China.
  16. Wasn’t able to watch the majority of the match, as I was too tired, but Felix Auger-Aliassme finally won another Grand Slam match, taking down Dominic Thiem in 5 (6-3, 7-5, 6-7 (5), 5-7, 6-3) I love both so I would’ve been happy with either result, but for the sake of Canadian tennis was hoping for it to be FAA.
  17. Raonic retires at 0-2 15-30 in set three, due to a hip flexor issue. Kind of inevitable after the MTO late in that first set. Praying for a successful recovery, and hopefully he can get back to his best soon.
  18. Down 3-5 and facing 3 SPs, Raonic had a chance to break to get back on serve but unfortunately couldn’t convert. De Minaur takes the second set 6-3.
  19. Milos Raonic takes the first set 7-6 (6) over home-favorite Alex De Minaur! Still a long way to go, but early on looking like it’ll go to 5 (and probably all tiebreaks)
  20. Luge WC Eberspächer Innsbruck | Innsbruck, Austria Men’s Singles Gold- Jonas Mueller (1:38.665) Silver- Nico Gleirscher (1:38.981) Bronze- Max Langenhan (1:39.083) Team Relay Gold- Team Austria (2:52.190) Silver- Team Germany (2:52.376) Bronze- Team Italy (2:52.651) Full Results
  21. Aren’t they all? Haven’t heard of any of those cities before.
  22. Meanwhile, Denis Shapovalov records yet another bad result, losing in straight sets (6-3, 7-5, 7-5) to Jakub Mensik (a random player I’ve never even heard of before) So painful being a fan of him (and other Canadian tennis players in general) he’s always losing (and dropping sets) against lower ranked opponents, and he rarely goes far in tournaments anymore. At least we have Leylah Fernandez and Gaby Dabrowski (who is also partnered up with a honorary Canadian representing New Zealand in Erin Routliffe)
  23. Laura Siegemund continues her great start to the year, defeating [17] Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (9)
  24. Here’s the full calendar for the 2024 season
  25. Opening World Championship (basically their version of a WC) is on next Saturday, in Winterleiten, Austria. I believe all events will be streamed on the ATSX Ice Cross Youtube channel, but not entirely sure on that. https://youtube.com/@ATSXIceCross?si=Q6l0cLUJtHUEJTaW
