IMO Canada has medal chances in all sports except rhythmic gymnastics, sport climbing, canoe slalom, field hockey, volleyball, waterpolo, artistic swimming, badminton, table tennis, modern pentathlon, shooting and handball, triathlon. MVDP’s road race at the Cycling World Championships was another one of my 2023 highlights. But there’s so many notable ones that it’s hard to remember some of them. I know curling isn’t one of the most popular sports on here (I believe only a few users on here actually watch it), but I can’t believe no one nominated it for selection.

Rafael Nadal hasn’t yet retired, but he has said that 2024 will probably be his final year on tour. My mistake for posting it there, probably should’ve been in the “Men’s Tennis ATP Tour 2023” discussion thread instead. Tom Brady is another notable retirement (don’t know how popular american football is on here though)

I know we’re at the second stage of voting, but I can’t believe all of us forgot about Niklas Edin’s spinner against Norway at the Men’s Curling World Championships. That beats out all my other sporting moment nominees for sure.
