  1. There’s hundreds of them. I could name them all, but that would take up way too much time. IMO Canada has medal chances in all sports except rhythmic gymnastics, sport climbing, canoe slalom, field hockey, volleyball, waterpolo, artistic swimming, badminton, table tennis, modern pentathlon, shooting and handball, triathlon. (I might be missing some, but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head)
  2. Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup, Gothenburg, Sweden Mixed Doubles 1. Anna Hasselborg/Oscar Eriksson 2. Isabella Wranå/Rasmus Wranå 3. Jasmin Lander/Henrik Holtermann Full Results
  3. Good list, I would also add Canada as an outside chance in women’s football.
  4. Sorry I haven’t been updating Olympic qualifying times her. Been busy with typing my Paris 2024 medal predictions. Hopefully I’ll have time to do some this week, but no guarantees.
  5. Was unaware that this was going on until about an hour ago, but the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup started almost two days ago. All matches will be live-streamed on the WCT (World Curling Tour) YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/@WCTWorldCurlingTour/streams
  6. Cameron Alexander won bronze at the Bormio men’s downhill WC! First alpine skiing podium of the season for Canada, we’ve had various top 10 finishes though.
  7. @Topicmaster1010 no worries if you don’t have time, but just wondering, are we gonna get a second version of the Paris simulation?

  9. Christmas ended yesterday, but I wanted to share all the things I got (Parents decided to combine my Birthday gifts with my Christmas gifts, as most of them were gonna come a couple weeks late) - Some clothes - Cologne/Deodorant - Ticket to my first ever NHL game (Canucks v. Kings on March 25) - Doncic, Poole, Curry, Demko Jerseys (I bought three of the jerseys myself) - Stocking Stuffers (Chips, gum, candy, portable charger, airtag) - Money - Tennis Shirt/Shorts - Hockey Stick (a second one) - Massage Gun - Training Suit (for swimming)

  13. MVDP’s road race at the Cycling World Championships was another one of my 2023 highlights. But there’s so many notable ones that it’s hard to remember some of them. I know curling isn’t one of the most popular sports on here (I believe only a few users on here actually watch it), but I can’t believe no one nominated it for selection.
  14. Rafael Nadal hasn’t yet retired, but he has said that 2024 will probably be his final year on tour. My mistake for posting it there, probably should’ve been in the “Men’s Tennis ATP Tour 2023” discussion thread instead. Tom Brady is another notable retirement (don’t know how popular american football is on here though)
  15. I know we’re at the second stage of voting, but I can’t believe all of us forgot about Niklas Edin’s spinner against Norway at the Men’s Curling World Championships. That beats out all my other sporting moment nominees for sure.
  16. @vinipereira you forgot to calculate the votes for best male team

  18. Italy’s Davis Cup title?? Really?? All of the Italians probably voted for that moment.
  19. @Benolympique why are you tagging me
  20. So, NHL is taking a break for the next couple of days, with the next games being played on Wednesday. Surprise, surprise, my Vancouver Canucks are 1st in the league! Sure, we’ve played a few more games than some of the other top teams (Rangers, Kings, Bruins, Stars), but heading into this season a 23-9-3 record halfway throughout the season sounded almost unthinkable. Rick Tocchet
  21. Merry Christmas to all my fellow Totallympians!! May you all have a wonderful day, filled with special moments with your loved ones, and may all your wishes come true.
  22. Here are my sporting moment of the year choices. #1: win over United States in women’s waterpolo at the World Aquatics Championships #2: Femke Bol rebounding from a late race fall in the mixed 4x400m to win gold in the women’s 4x400m at the World Athletics Championships! #3: Adriana Diaz and Bruna Takahashi’s embrace after the gold medal match in women’s singles table tennis at the Pan American Games #4: Canada booking their ticket to the Olympics in men’s basketball at the FIBA World Cup for the first time since 2000 #5: Novak Djokovic winning three grand slam titles this year, while extending his overall total to 24, winning the Australian Open, Roland Garros, and US Open. #6: Connor Bedard and Trevor Zegras scoring Michigan goals on the same day (December 23) #7: Miltiadis Tentoglou winning gold in men’s long jump at the World Athletics Championships with his round six attempt. But also, Canada qualifying for Paris in men’s volleyball, which marks their third consecutive appearance. Really impressive considering we’ve never really been near the top of the World Rankings. @vinipereira it’s so hard to choose athletes/moments in some categories. Is it possible if my #7 vote can count?
