  1. Camacho-Quinn clatters into a hurdle in the women’s 100m hurdles heats Shoe off, looks like there’s an injury. Hopefully it’s nothing serious
  2. 47.08 for Jack Alexy in the men’s 100m freestyle HEATS (!!!) at the US Olympic Trials! 0.28 away from Zhanle’s WR.
  3. Probably just to get some last minute racing in before Paris.
  4. 9.99 SB for the reigning Olympic Champion Lamont Marcel Jacobs in the men’s 100m and has reached the Olympic standard! @phelps
  5. What about a second quota in women’s 10m?
  6. NR and Olympic quota for Ella Junnila in women’s high jump
  7. Canada defeat Japan in 5 in match 8 of Men’s VNL, to improve to 5-4! Keeps our hopes alive for a VNL Finals appearance. Edit: Also back to #9 in the World Rankings, but more importantly the 3rd pot for the Olympic draw!
  8. defeat in 5!!
  9. Three individual medals would be very disappointing for someone like her. 400IM and 200FL should be “locks”. 200IM she should medal in (and a good chance at gold, given 200IM/400IM gold doubles always happen at the Olympics). 400FR as well, 3:58 would be more than enough. I’m hoping for 4 total, and 2-3 golds.
  10. I thought De Bues Stafford was focusing on the women’s 5000m and not the 1500m?
  11. Entry list isn’t out yet (at least I can’t seem to find one) for La Classique d'athlétisme de Montréal, on June 21, but scouring through various websites, I figured out some of the athletes that will be present! Brooke Overholt will be in the women’s 400m hurdles, Zakary Mama-Yari and Abdullahi Hassan in the men’s 800m, Simone Plourde , Gabriela De-Bues Stafford, Kate Current in the women’s 1500m, Jazz Shukla and Madeline Kelly in the women’s 1000m (not sure why), Eliezer Adjibi in the men’s 100m, Audrey Leduc, Sade McCreath, Marie-Eloisee Leclair and Donna Ntambue in the women’s 100m, Ibrahim Ayorinde and Callum Robinson in the men’s 200m, Jacqueline Madogo in the women’s 200m, Grace Konrad and Aiyanna Stiverne in the women’s 400m, Addy Townsend in the women’s 800m, Rachel Hyink in women’s pole vault, Aaliyah Logan and Tatiana Aholou in women’s 100m hurdles, Craig Thorne in men’s 110m hurdles, Jean-Simon Desgagnes and Robert Heppenstall in the men’s 1500m, Liv Sands and Grace Tennant in women’s shot put, Mark Bujnowski in men’s shot put, and Malik Metivier in the men’s 400m hurdles.
  12. Also, with the most recent batch of Olympic Trials, it’s a real possibility that McIntosh might only win one Olympic gold in Paris (women’s 400m individual medley), despite all the hype. Smith in the women’s 200m butterfly, Douglass/McKeown/Walsh in the women’s 200m individual medley, Titmus in the women’s 400m freestyle…
  13. Mel Zajac this week! Josh Liendo, Maggie MacNeil, Tristan Jankovics, Blake Tierney, Ella Jansen, Taylor Ruck, Javier Acevedo, Lorne Wigginton, Alex Axon, Apollo Hess, Emma O’Croinin, Finlay Knox, Taylor Ruck, Illya Kharun, Sophie Angus are all entered!
  14. I also wouldn’t consider decathlon to be a “field event”
  15. Scenarios for Canadian men to qualify for the Olympics (Field Events) Men’s High Jump - Somehow Django Lovett is 42nd in the Road to Paris, as his result from the NACAC Championships in 2022 still counts (not sure how). If he’s not competing in Montreal, he’ll need at least 2.20m and 1st (in addition to no one else improving on their scores at other meets) at minimum. 2.25m would put him in 28th, and in a much more favourable position. Basically, he needs a big SB. Men’s Triple Jump - If he’s not competing in Montreal in a couple of days, Praise Aniamaka will need to have a massive PB in order to reach the Olympic standard of 17.22m. Probably too much to ask for.
  16. Well for we could win up to 4 if everything goes our way. But in only one event we’re among the favourites, with McIntosh in the women’s 400m freestyle. Cordano Russell in men’s street skateboarding, men’s and women’s 4x100m freestyle relays in swimming are outside chances.
  17. Yeah, with the results in Shanghai, I’d say it’s pretty likely that we’ll get three quotas in men’s street. Fay Ebert is in a good position to qualify in women’s park as well.
  18. Milos Raonic with 47 aces against Cam Norrie at the Queens Club Championships Most ever in a three-set ATP match. P.S, always a good day when Norrie loses

  21. Might be in the minority here, but I don’t get the MA hate. Seems like a nice dude.
  22. I’m going with But I wouldn’t be surprised if win
  23. @Topicmaster1010 I don’t disagree with you about them being the top two favourites in the women’s 100m butterfly, but for silver there’s a bunch of names really close to Huske. Yufei, MacNeil, Kohler, and McKeon (didn’t have the best of Trials, but I can never count her out) will also be in the mix for the minor medals.
