  1. Without getting a virus I mean
  2. MSH has OQTs in all of her main events, I think she’s just using the meet to get some racing in. Oleksiak is aiming for the women’s 100m freestyle OQT of 53.61. Edit: I’ll also add that half of the Canadian Olympic contingent will be racing at another meet. Rest are still training.
  3. Didn’t matter in the context of the game, because McDavid scored right after, but unreal save by Matthew Tkachuk here. @hckošice
  4. Oilers survive elimination again, as they defeat the Panthers 5-3 in game 5. Panthers now have a 3-2 series lead.
  5. XIX Reunion Internacional de Athletismo “Villa del Bilbao” - Bilbao, Spain June 18, 2024 Full Results Men’s 100m Jhony Renteria
  6. 57.91 for Katharine Berkoff, likely will be a battle between her and Masse for bronze assuming she makes the Olympic team.
  7. 57.13 REGAN SMITH ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHES MCKEOWN’S WR IN THE WOMEN’S 100M BACKSTROKE AT THE US OLYMPIC TRIALS!! @maestro @dullard @Topicmaster1010
  8. WAIT I JUST REALIZED NBC is available on my TV That means I can watch the US Olympic Swim Trials
  9. WNBA star Cameron Brink suffered a leg injury during today’s Sparks game. She was named to the US Olympic roster for 3x3, and might miss Paris as a result of it. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8YB_wyPUYR/?igsh=dGpqbnBoNWxheHEz
  10. Surprised no one has mentioned this yet (I would’ve done it yesterday when I was watching it, but couldn’t be bothered), but the Celtics defeated the Mavericks in 5 to win their 18th NBA championship. Finals MVP went to Jaylen Brown.
  11. Bad start too, 9.8 high (would either be an =PB or outright PB) might be possible at Olympic Trials, depending on the conditions. Promising signs for his 200m, he might need to better his 19.62 in order to win one of the minor medals (Lyles is untouchable, should be between him, Tebogo, Bednarek, Hughes, Knighton for silver and bronze)
  12. @Topicmaster1010 Vancouver Canucks have resigned Filip Hronek! $7.25m/8 yrs. He was asking for $8m not long ago, props to Allvin for getting it down as much as he could. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8X1uU7B6Vd/?igsh=MXBxbXJocmZzMG40Zg==
  13. Let’s just say that Gracenote has a reputation of not having the most accurate projections I’d be curious to see how many medals (and golds) Netherlands are projected to win on any Dutch Olympic site.
  14. 19 medals for Canada? We could probably get that number without McIntosh 9 golds seems like a fair number (maybe a tad high), I’d be happy with that.
  15. According to some SwimSwam commentators, Fente Damers looked like he injured his left shoulder while celebrating. Might not be be at the Olympics, which would mean that Wissam-Amazigh Yebba would get to swim the men’s 4x100m freestyle. Edit: Yep, @rafalgorka posted about it.
  16. 47.33 for Maxime Grousset in the men’s 100m freestyle at the French Olympic Trials, for a new PB!
  17. Neither is Canada winning 30 medals, and 10 golds, but I don’t see it happening Obviously you would know more about me regarding Dutch Olympic medal prospects, but I’d think that the performances from your athletes throughout the last quad are suggesting it’s highly unlikely to happen (at least according to the other Dutch users on the forum)
  18. Michael Johnson is launching a league called “Grand Slam Track”. https://citiusmag.com/articles/michael-johnson-professional-track-league-grand-slam-track-everything-you-need-to-know So to recap, we now have that in addition to WA Continental Gold/Silver/Bronze/Challenger events, Diamond Leagues, World Championships, Olympics, and also the newly announced Ultimate Championships.
  19. Paavo Nurmi Games - Turku, Finland June 18, 2024 Full Results Women’s High Jump Ella Junnila Men’s 100m Lamont Marcel Jacobs Chituru Ali Andre DeGrasse Men’s 800m Mark English
  20. Really? None of the other Dutch users on here seem to be as optimistic as you are.
  21. Olympic quota for Mark English in the men’s 800m!! @mpjmcevoy @Cosmo Kramer@Oldira@dodge @OlympicIRL
  22. Solid men’s 100m final. Lamont Marcel Jacobs wins in 9.92 (rounding into form right before the Olympics), ahead of his compatriot Chituru Ali in 9.96, and Andre DeGrasse in 10.00 (fastest time for him since September 2021)
  23. OLYMPIC QUOTA!! Andre DeGrasse 10.00 in the men’s 100m, it’s his best time since the Zurich Diamond League in September 2021! Jerome Blake also with a very decent 10.17.
  24. Alysha Newman with a new SB of 4.61m in women’s pole vault at the Paavo Nurmi Games! Needed 3rd attempt clearances at that and 4.51m though.
  25. 4.80m for Nina Kennedy in women’s pole vault!
