Wait, isn't it 6 sprints, 3 relays, 1 individual, 1 mixed relay and 1 single mixed best performances?

    It still is.

OQ period stretches from November 28th, 2020 to January 16th, 2022. As much as we hate it, the full Olympic line-ups won't be known until three weeks before the games.

Top 3 nations in Olympic ranking will send 6 athletes. 4th-10th - five athletes, 11th-20th will be allowed to field a relay.

For nations outside Top 20 - 12 individual wild cards based on performances in non-relay World Cup & IBU Cup races.

I just checked on twitter with the best Polish biathlon journalist. He confirmed this is how the OQ works as of today.

I think it's much more interesting to place your bets if Sara Urumova will be 10 minutes behind in the sprint or will she get under 10 minutes??

Well, Idk how good or bad she is tbh ;)

:GBR Shawna Pendry makes her IBU Cup as well. After finishing 12th at the Youth Olympics sprint maybe there is some hope beyond Amanda Lightfoot?

    what the absolute fuck?

probably every country gaining additional quotas due to junior cup's cancellation? I know that we can start with 6 men, I think.

Yeah, the IBU Cup quotas are raised after the Junior Cup cancellations. Poland can field six men & women each too (but we only send 5 men to Arber).

Obviously everyone will focus on Stina Nilsson's performance :p

I thought Arber was tiny.  How is there housing for all the teams and athletes.  I also anticipate a lot of Junior's as well

Booking.com lists 59 hotels for Zwiesel alone :p I'd say there's enough place to fit all these athletes. I mean Zwiesel is closer to Arber than Hochfilzen is to Kitzbuehel?

They make many different changes, but the one that actually works - the night races, are still not fully developed. Everyone loves them, i don't know why they haven't made a staple out of them, throughout the season. Like have regular Tuesdays be night races, one week men, one week women. There is something special watching skiing at 9-10 o'clock in the night.

Tourists ski at day and drink at night. No need to install lights for a single World Cup night event :coffee:

I mean, this isn't really double-standards. There are no double-standards in a war. And this was and maybe this is a war. A cultural war and cyber war over which side has more control over the Western internet. And the democrats are obviously winning (and were winning from the start) because ultimately the big tech companies will side with the liberals when shit hits the fan, as long as the democrats won't actually move to the left economically. There were already efforts made in Hungary by conservatives to provide a conservative alternative to Facebook, likely helped by some Fidesz money, because Orbán is not an idiot, unlike most of the Republican party.

No question about it, the liberals are winning the cultural war in the West. I'm gonna enjoy watching the purge of the Republicans in the next 4 years  However even the liberals can get it totally wrong as evident by the Wikileaks fiasco. It was supposed to be a new Bible for the liberals and then Assange got exposed as a Russian mole :p  I presume the in-fighting of Democrats moderates and progressives will allow Republicans to somehow avoid total extinction though.

  7. Hypocrisy and double-standards is nothing new in politics. This thread has gone awfully quiet once Trump got banned on social media and conservatives got shot by the police at the Capitol. It's a stark contrast to constant updates when the BLM rioters set restaurants on fire. It's obvious liberals or progressives or whatever you want to call them are having a field day using their power. Funny how "freedom of speech" means nothing when you can ban pro-Rebublicans on social media. Imagine the shitstorm in this thread if pro-Democrats had an entire media platform banned!

  8. Cleveland Browns just stomped Pittsburgh Steelers on the road 48-37 (it was 28-0 after 1st quarter). Mighty garbage time stats for Roethlisberger who simply need to go away. The Steelers were a complete fraudsters after starting 11-0 and got duly bounced in the wild card round. Browns lost 17 straight in Pitssburgh until last night! Well done!

  9. I'm too old to be familiar with the Nickelodeon cartoons but whatever graphics thet put there are still way better than the Bears "offense". Thet have to blow it up, Trubisky just gets them nowhere, Nagy's playcalling is too conservative and outright dumb. Who the hell runs TE jet sweeps like that anymore in 2021? Another case tonight, down three scores 3rd & 8 and he throws a checkdown behind line of scrimmage. This is just terrible football.
