  1. The World Cup kicks off with two debutants v This is Nigeria's first ICC Women's World Cup event in any format(senior or junior). They did make it to Men's U19 WC a few years back. For Samoa this is their first World Cup across both genders all age groups. Last time we had Rwanda as a debutant who reached all the way to super sixes.
  2. ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup kicks off tomorrow in https://www.icc-cricket.com/tournaments/u19-womenst20worldcup/news/where-to-watch-the-u19wc-2025-broadcasters-confirmed-for-the-global-event Check this link to know the broadcasters
  3. This season has been exciting, but I really wish for a return. This could make it super fun. I wonder why some of those athletes aren't switching nationalities yet. I was really hoping Smolskaya would return to her home nation but it doesn't seem so for the former Olympic champion and U25 winner few seasons ago.
  4. into curling final. Zhang and Pietrangelo can't win it for
  5. I think sent an actual university hockey team. Except ofc they didn't have an experience on ice or learnt skating well.
  6. What a week for in winter Sports 8th Jan - First Victory in Alpine Skiing since 1980 9th Jan - First Women's Individual Biathlon podium since 2003
  7. Podium for Todorova
  8. Zizi That was as perfect as it could be!
  9. Another good result for Colturi ! for the win in in slalom tomorrow. An outside chance for Raast, Duerr and Liensberger I would say.
  10. Seriously what a shit sprint course for the Olympics. Medals will be decided based on Skiis.
  11. Women's Tour De Ski, Four Hills, Skeleton WC (Women's Individual Only) and Alpine Skiing.
  12. I believe existing infra and easier access for para athletes around the world was the main reason for New Delhi to get the nod. I was expecting Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar or Ahmedabad which are far cleaner than Delhi.
  13. New Delhi will host the World Para Athletics Championships in 2025
  14. Slovenian women's team is good. So are the Estonians. Estonia just missed out on a medal on the final shoot in women's relay at world championships. If you ask what is once in a career result for a comparitively weaker nation then it has to be that Single Mixed Relay in Ostersund in 2017. Back then despite being neck to neck Martin Fourcade couldn't beat the mighty team who won bronze. That came out of the blue as Galina Vishnevskaya's skiing dipped badly as years passed. Now even with a clear shoot she finishes out of top 60 while she was a multiple medallist at Youth Olympics and Winter Universiade(2G,2S) as well as the Youth and Junior World Champion.
  15. It was as good a race as it could be for the Bulgarians, unfortunate that it was a melt down for Zdravkova. Flip side Dimitrova and Todorova were excellent and Hristova wasn't bad either. Top 8 loading soon I think
  16. Just finished watching all skeleton races this season. 4 winners in 4 women's race and still no winner from Germany, cool. seems to be the most improved team so far.
  17. Just saw the men's results and Wright finished 4th in Sprint, 4s behind bronze. I don't know if it's just me or not many really watch men's cross country and biathlon because of the long Norwegian domination in XC And men's biathlon being largely on predictable lines between few athletes( though still better than men's XC)
  18. It was a pretty good opener with a podium and a comparitively suprising winner
  19. Such a nice one for Colturi ! That was fun. It almost looked like a script with the cameras focusing on Colturi a couple of times before her first run and showcasing the potential of youngster and she didn't disappoint. I hope Colturi skis for Albania forever. So much fun to cheer her with the Albanian flag. I don't get it why everyone is being so critical of Colturi, you got no right to criticize a personal decision, as most European nations use imported athletes in many sports like wrestling and cheer them on like their. Would you spend hours criticizing Frank Chamizo for switching to Italy rather than playing for Cuba?
  20. Barely missed to qualify for the T20 WC losing to Ireland by 7 runs. Italy are the joint 4th best European team right now after England, Scotland, Netherlands I believe able to beat Ireland any day.
  21. Shit I expected 12 seeing the choice of songs but didn't want to become a laughing stock so didn't comment
