  1. I think boxing in an open stadium would look cool
  2. I feel for Jedniakova She was so close to winning quota last time reaching semis and now she won't go to Paris @hckošice
  3. It was for her match on Kazakhstan boxing federation on Instagram with recording available on their YouTube channel. But from tomorrow you can watch easily on Olympic channel
  4. Actually the problem here is when we watch a boxing match there is a high possibility we watch the opponent mostly because we are expecting a punch from our boxers on their face and are more likely to retain them in our minds and this camera angle didn't make it any easy. And boxing with its long standing judging issues becomes an easy blame. I was trying to be very neutral in watching one of our matches today against the Kazakh and I felt she didn't do enough in 2nd round but 4/5 judges still gave it in our favour. But with other 2 good rounds she won. So sometimes it's hard to say. Also It would have been still nicer if the camera was closer. But still getting even few matches hasn't been easy till now. It's hard pill to swallow. Hopefully the remaining Ukrainian fighters make up for it.
  5. Expectations were around the same but have slightly increased now. We had 5 good draws and all those boxers are still there. Boro has made it through 2 difficult matches so far. The one today was pretty ugly and close. Boro had dominated 1st, Kazakh was better in 2nd and 3rd was pretty even. I thought Volossenko had done enough but Boro escaped the point deduction and somehow few combination punches helped her. Hoping for 4-5 boxers to qualify now.
  6. Even a 5 year old kid watching the match would say who won. Zakhariev won it fair and square in all 3 rounds. Walsh was just running around and getting the combination punches with one or two attacks or counters of his own. 1st two rounds were a total domination for the Ukrainian. I don't know what the judges were watching. The only undoing I fear was the point deduction for keeping head down for the Ukrainian in the first round. But even then Walsh did a grand total of NOTHING in that match to be declared winner. This is my perspective as a neutral.
  7. Tournament going pretty well so far for us with 10/13 wins
  8. So final day of relying solely on results. Livestream available from Thursday
  9. They don't stand a chance in Women's 66kg tbh. Not sure on Kazakhstan too they might lose tomorrow.
  10. Weerapan Jongjho beats 2021 World Champion Robby Gonzales 3-2. Well Thailand is going to win lots of quotas here just like Italy did at last qualifiers
  11. Upsets of Day 2 Aminiasi delivered a knock out blow to Juan Ortiz in 80kg category, winning by RSC in Round 2 Rogen Ladon lost to Rafael Serrano 1-4 in 51kg Special Mention: Muhammad came close to beating Sean Mari in a match decided in final round.
  12. Women's Quota : Emma Malabuyo Texas gymnast Emma who failed to qualify for Tokyo 2020 for the USA qualifies for her first Olympics representing . She finished 4th in US National Championship in 2021 in all round.
  13. Thailand streams very well including local boxing tournaments. Why aren't they coming now? In IWF WC they streamed group B C D etc on Thai weightlifting channel
  14. This is the result of IOC quota cutting policy. Most categories have over 50 boxers. In -71kg there are 70 boxers entered. Boxing is a really universal sport, I can't believe there are so few quotas.
  15. If a judoka loses in R32 with R64 being bye does he still get full points for reaching R32 or only participation points
  16. No specific source but I can confirm Australian team from this https://olympics.com/en/news/paris-2024-olympics-australia-taekwondo-team
  17. Oumaima El Bouchti gets WR quota reallocation in -49kg as Oceania Qualifiers had just 2 entrants.
  18. Archery has ever had a clean sweep in the first place at Olympics? Koreans win golds but not cleansweep at least in the last couple of decades or so For a nation that won 2 recurve medals at World championship in mixed team and men's team and none in individual podium sweep is out of equation. Archery is an unpredictable sport but Korea has the least experienced women's team for Olympics I have seen from a while, no where close to the nerves of steel they are known for. The Archery world cup in Korea running now should throw more light on them.
  19. are the latest team to Qualify for an ICC WC. Led by Vera Farrane's all round display and some tight bowling by Silepea Polataivao and Olive Lefaga Samoans won the last league match at ICC Women's U19 WC Qualifier 2025 to qualify for ICC U19 Women's WC early next year to be hosted in &
  20. Parveen Hooda loses the quota due to whereabouts failure. She'll serve a short ban and return next year after the case was heard earlier by ITA. Big mistake by the coaches here. will send Jasmine in this category for the final Olympic qualifiers
  21. First direct qualification for and Table Tennis
