I will explore VPNs but I know a lot of people will not put that effort but might have just watched few hours of the games or more, which is no longer a possibility now. The fact that this is happening in 2026 is surprising it used to happen in early 2010s after that all major multi sport games have got good streaming. I asked the support team to at least show us a few more sports to which I got a reply that it is not possible at the moment. So unless miraculously some broadcaster steps in I'll mostly use a VPN. Pity because a lot of people do watch it - at least the Olympic Games; if not regularly.

So in and maybe most of the countries where broadcast is not available: Figure Skating and Alpine Skiing will be shown live (all events) on YouTube and Olympic Channel. Snowboarding Finals, Ice Hockey and Curling Medal Matches will also be shown. Nothing of any other sports including Biathlon, Ski Jumping, Cross Country Skiing, Sliding sports, Short Track, Free Ski etc.

Yes which means no way we can watch it. I have no hope now unless they change plan and decide to stream on Olympic Channel.

I assume IOC in touch with a few broadcasters/ streaming platforms who are not ready to pay that big an amount to IOC as they are asking... Can't do a lot really here.

Maybe I have used vpns but not for 12+ hours in a day. Max would be 2-4 hours. The IOC reply to me on mail confirms that only official broadcasters will be able to show the games

No streaming for the games in India. I contacted IOC they just sent me a list where the games will be shown live. Last games we had the Olympic channel and YouTube showing the live coverage for regions with no media rights. This time sadly no such schedule. So much about making the games accessible to all...

What about nations which don't have an official broadcast? Will it be streamed on olympic channel like last time?

Little surprised why everyone is giving / the gold in women's figure skating. I really can't see how Petrosian can be beaten here.

In XC Skiing, the Sprints and 50km Mass Start, Downhill and Slalom in Alpine Skiing, Aerials, Moguls and Dual Moguls will be interesting too.

I'm excited for Biathlon (as always), Curling, Short Track, Figure Skating, Ski Jumping and Skeleton.
