  1. Here are the previews for Women's Wrestling 50kg: As simple as it gets are in opposite halves and should qualify easily. Vinesh is returning to the category after a long time. She's a former World Medallist. North Korean is Asiad silver medalist. 53kg: are favourites and are in opposite halves. 57kg: A dreadful draw in top half. Olympic medalist in 53kg, Jong who beat Sakurai at AG but was cruelly denied and Hong are in top half. The 2nd Chinese Feng tasted defeat to Sakurai for the first time in 5 years last week. In bottom half it's easy going for former World silver medalistAnshu except for small hurdle in form of World U20 medallist Kyzy. I will say 62kg : has an easy draw in top half. in bottom half but should get it. 68: Olympic medalist Zhumanzharova is favourite Nisha should follow but is strong too 76: is favourite. for next 2 quotas, I'll pick the former. 4 1 I can't believe I put 1 for it could go maybe say upto 3 or so due to close fight in many and getting 4 would be a record, maybe we end at 3 also.
  2. Is there any extended tally present covering all nations and their medal breakup.
  3. https://www.nielsen.com/news-center/2024/virtual-medal-table-forecast-100-days/ Gracenote releases medal projection 100 days to go!
  4. Shayne Quiroz loses out on inner 10s after being level at 583, so unlucky. These quota holders didn't even give her a chance to qualify. It's like not getting a quota in Final Olympic Qualifier in Wrestling just because you lost to Yazdani in first round and there are no Repechage system on offer. How unfair!
  5. Final Quotas Men's Recurve Matheson Women's Recurve Prasaad Chaandvi * Subject to MQS in both rejected women's quota Source: World Archery
  6. and should get the singles quota in Men and Women respectively in South Asia. For us the fight for getting into Olympic team is heating up with 4 men and 5 women in fray for the 3 spots per gender. Men's No 1, Women's No 2 and No 6 look safe for now.
  7. Sreeja starts with a impressive win against Natalia Bajor 4-0. Feel so bad for Sreeja she faces Cheng Meng with better draws she could have progressed further. In Incheon she just lost to Wang Manyu in 1st round who then won all her matches easily to finish runners up. In World team TT she beat Wang Yidi World No 3, 3-0.
  8. Ratio of games won lost checked. If equal then points won loss ratio.
  9. For ITTF WC it'll be used in group stages. All matches are to a 4 games not best of 5 or 7. From R16 it's knockout best of 7.
  10. Thanks. I actually meant the current ITTF World Cup in Macao, it has points as per the PDF. Happy to know.
  11. Does ITTF WC have ranking points for Olympics and WTT Rankings? If so what is the distribution?
  12. I thought was a mistake when I first saw the teams on Wikipedia. Well, imports makes sense. The Mighty Azerbaijan 3×3 Basketball Team, first Azeri team to qualify for Olympics in a team sport perhaps.
  13. 66 so far, with no women's hockey it will 90-105 final team less than Rio and Tokyo.
  14. It's not sarcastic. Only Neeraj is kind of sure. I don't trust our shooters or archers. Men's Hockey is out of form. In Badminton men's doubles we have chance but not any other event. We won quotas in boxing in AG and drew a blank at qualifiers so I don't know where we stand can't get hyped by AIBA Women's World champs hosted at home. Wrestling was marred by protests which even lead to suspension of federation, no Olympic medallist made current team for Qualifiers and no national camp has been held for 1 year. Even our top weightlifter Mirabai is not at her best and lifted 185kg or so and competition in the category has increased . If all things have to go badly, it could end up as low as 0-2 medals. Yes, things can go the optimist way too but yeah if the games are held now we might be there at the bottom
  15. Anju into finals of 53kg from 2-6 to 8-6
  16. Manisha comes from 0-8 down to win 14-13 against Choe what a match
  17. Nethmi Porutothage wins by technical superiority over Markasheva . This never happened in wrestling before that Sri Lankan wrestler has beaten Kazakhstan let alone by such margin.
  18. @Siddhartha Talukdar How about a video on India at Olympics 100 days to go .. I'm ready we can have a podcast on your channel covering all sports.
  19. Oh that's sad to hear. We too have the same issue very small squad, no women's hockey team and very few medal hopefuls. I hope we don't return empty handed
