32 candidates will run in IOC AC elections next summer in Paris.

Felix and Szilagyi seem certain, but for the other 2 places are up for grabs. Let's hope it will be lesser known athletes and not Fox for example

Smajlaj :ALB seems unlikely to win given his qualification scandal. I'm honestly surprised his candidacy was cleared (even it was possibly determined at some point he didn't have a major role in the scandal).

Fox and Pajon definitely have a good amount of name recognition as well. Although, there are quite a few athletes with memorable results or personalities on there.

I missed the announcement back in February, but :ANG was sanctioned by WADA for non-compliance, so they may be at risk of having to compete under the :IOC flag in Paris.

As @thepharoah pointed out, their flag has been abstent (for the most part) from the ongoing African Games.

The IOC accepted some more changes of nationality today.

Pou :MON is definitely one to note given she won an open water swimming quota earlier this year.

Also, @Fer GUA will likely be happy to know that :GUA suspension has been provisionally lifted, meaning athletes might be able to compete under the flag in Paris.

The IOC also published a bunch of new information regarding the participation of “individual neutral athletes.”

yeah!  So happy!!! With our new Government things are starting to change, and getting out all the corrupt authorities that plague the institutions the past 4 years. One of them being the COG, now awaiting for new elections.

Good for all the athletes than now can compete.
