No way he came up with this statement himself.

Of course not :p

It's also not even really a statement to help himself, it's just to say what happened :d

Basically his message is "I tested positive".

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Poor guy he shouldn’t be running that often. He could learn from other people who just appear in a race only once in a while 😉 and have injuries and then win 😂

in this case it wouldn't change anything, as he's got caught thanks an out-of-competition test ;)

sure! US doctors and managers (but it's the same for the Europeans taking advantage of the Africans in distance running), but an athlete coming from a small Nation with no other chance to improve his life (and his family's) than succeding in sport

that's the perfect

"No other chance" his parents are US college graduates, don't think he was living in a hut.

that's the perfect combination

He lived all his life in the US and is not even close of being poor.

I completely missed this when it was posted a month ago but WADA is now using the ABP to screen for HGH, IGF-1 and steroid usage.

Quote

The Endocrine Module of the ABP collects information on markers of human growth hormone (hGH) doping. The module aims to identify hGH use as well as use of hGH analogs, fragments and releasing factors categorized under Section S2.2 of the Prohibited List. This module may also indicate use of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I), categorized under Section S2.3 of the Prohibited List.

The Steroidal Module of the ABP collects information on markers of steroid doping, which until now, have been measured in urine samples. This module has been updated to also include markers measured in blood (serum) samples.

Totally forgot to post it, but one of the bigger bits of doping news the entire year, especially in cycling:

And an excellent bit of explanation on Reddit about the whole Freeman/Sky/Ineos farce, starting with Wiggins.

Quote

For those who weren't around at the time this blew up, this is about two things.

The first was when Wiggins won the Tour. Freeman went from a race in Eastern France where Sky/Ineos were racing, to the UK, then back to Easter France, to bring a bag of medication for Wiggins. Nobody knows what medication.

Sky and Brailsford demurred on it, gave several different explanations. The first of which was to try and pin it on Emma Pooley. Luckily she was leading a race in Spain that day so she couldn't have been involved so that lie was quickly exposed.

They went through several explanations as each was easily debunked, until settling on "It was Fluimucil". A medication that could've been bought over the counter at any Pharmacy in France, but apparently they needed to go back to the UK base to get it.

That's the first thing. The second thing was several deliveries of corticosteroids and testosterone to their UK base. Again several explanations from Brailsford saying it was for his knee, to it was for Shane Sutton's impotence, to several other things. The most damning moment was when an e-mail surfaced from British Cycling to the company that sold the testosterone saying essentially "Tell the press it was a mistake and we never ordered this or you won't see any more business from us".

Of course, all this took a bit of a backseat when Froome tested positive and people kinda forgot about it.

A lot of evidence would've been on Freeman's computer, especially the files on Wiggins, Froome, Thomas and Possoni, the 4 Sky riders who were involved in different levels of scandal. Unfortunately Freeman "lost" the laptop it and the whole team had no copies of the files. No online backups, nothing.

How surprising. I definitely wouldn't expect doping to be involved in a team that promised "A British Tour winner in 5 years" when not a single British rider looked like an even remote possibility, only to have 3 different guys inexplicably go from either pack fodder or time trialists who couldn't climb a speedbump, become world beaters and win the Tour.
