There’s for sure areas where we are weaker than Tokyo in swimming tho. Woman’s 50f (sjostrom) zsc in the 200 (that Chinese dude) and the woman’s medley are 3 events to which I think we will struggle to defend our golds. But then there a similar amount as you mentioned where we have a better chance so it basically evens out. It will be interesting for sure

I think that Germany and Great Britain are always eyeing Italy and France and thinking why are they different and why do the juries and televoters enjoy them, whilst rarely showing any appreciation towards GB or GER Of course, GB saw what works after Sam Ryder last year and I think that they did have good intentions with sending Olly. If anyone was thinking the soap opera of Bulgarian weightlifting has ended, oh my sweet summer child 😄 The Federation is owing 36 k Euro to IWF for the organisation of the European Championship in February. We have until 20th May to pay up, otherwise our 3 lifters, including Karlos Nasar will be barred from the Olympics. The Federation has been in debt for 8 months now. They don't have any money and the Sports Ministry are refusing to give them the new budget, because of said previous debts. And the deadline for this payment was actually the end of April. IWF made an exception and extended to May 20th, just so they don't DQ our guys. Weightlifting isn't amongst the brightest sports at all, but i am fully convinced, that the people involved with it have a lower IQ, than monkeys in a zoo.

5 weeks left before my target half and just got another PB yesterday... On the half marathon! The GPS most likely isn't completely precise, but according to Strava it was about 5 minutes faster than my half in 2022. On my Garmin it's about a minute faster than my PB from 2020. Still a long way to 1:45, but it certainly still feels possible!
