    The organizers have said that there will be an update to the official app of Rio 2016, just a few days before the Games, where will be possible to see results and follow athletes/nations.

    I'm going to Rio only on Saturday, August 6th - it will be very early in the day and I have some sports sessions planned already. Like most of you guys, I will watch the ceremony in the TV. Wish I could go before this, but the good thing is that I will only return home when the whole thing is over

    This is a widely public information Also, the ceremony is planned to start at 20h00, but I'm not really sure it will start this time (most of the times it starts some minutes later).

    Thankfully, most problems are being solved quickly - the australian chef de mission changed the tone today and said everything should be ready by tomorrow in their building (the one that have faced most problems). I expect the same for other rooms that have presented problems.

    About the opening ceremony time. The public is instructed to arrive at least an hour before the start and apparently there will be a "pre-show" at 19h15 local time. As far as I'm concerned, the ceremony itself will start at 20h00.

    In the brazilian forum on skyscrapercity, there's a whole thread with BIG spoilers about the opening ceremony, including photos. We already know about a lot of things that will happen, but I'm not gonna post it here (maybe someone will). The main reason this thread was opened was to discuss the ceremonies while they're happening.
