I didn't notice that...
it's always a pleasure to see that the Italian media people are not the only ones confusing Slovakia and Slovenia (and tenths, hundreds and thousends of a second)...
No, you´re not the only one, this is a common sign of all those countries west of Oder

I have no idea, once again our NOC has termed it's rules in pretty vague wordings.

May be interesting to know, because Martina Wegman has some good chances to earn one of the 18 available spots here in K1.

In the previous four games they didn't finish without a point - one full time victory and three losses after ET/shoot-out. They start from the fifth position last year in a five-teams A group so two times 0-7 against last year's silver medalists is not that bad. Especially that they play with just two formations this season (you can see our last year's goalie in Poprad soon as our NT coach is a Poprad's coach too).

That's not funny - on Saturday in Polish Women's League my home town's club was losing 0-5 after first period. Finished with "only" 0-7.
Hope your girls won´t give up

In my opinion, we don't expect miracles for Ola. It must be remembered that she is only 19 years old and when she is a well-run player, we will be harvesting her talent at the Games in Paris. Without a doubt, this championship will be a good testing ground for her.
True.
But again, in this sport you must also count with another decisive factor the important degree of some randomness However as I said, The most important for her is to avoid mistakes in the heats to qualify for the semifinals, and then everything is possible

We have any chance for quota in Women's C1? I see in your predicitons that you didn't mention about us in that event, we really don't have any chance?
Sure, the chance is always there, but the problem should be you have only one athlete entering the W C1 Aleksandra Stach, so she will have to ride without mistakes in a quite strong competition and have one of her best career race in order to advance to the semifinals, otherwise it will be over for her. Only 11 countries will qualify there and there at least around 14-15 from countries aiming for that berth realistically aspiring for this
Still 1 quota will be available at the next years Europeans in GB.

Dutch commentator when they showed Van Vleuten after 12km or so: "She's 15 seconds ahead of Amaliusik, so she's going pretty well too."
Meanwhile we had already seen Dygert was something like 65 years ahead of Amaliusik.
Since you are wathcing this I guess you have already your luggages packed ? don't forget your passport.

Last year the last ranked rider from was 7 and half minute behind the winner, in a quite harder profile

70+ seconds faster than everyone after 14 km

What's the deal with the Andorran lady? I remember she won a medal at the World Cup. Is this important? I guess it is, but I'm not sure how seriously the competition is taken by canoeists.Well, she has one really good advantage, the WCH will be held in her prefered (basically home) venue, she trained a lot in La Seu, maybe even more than any other non-spaniard girls in C1. And we all know how much the home water advantage is important in this sport. Personally I see Doria qualifying here (that´s why I put AND flag in both events, if she fail in K1 I can perfectly see her winning the berth in the C1 the next day)
+ the W C1 is still far from competitive, + it ALWAYS depend on how the track setters build the tracks, many times the track for the girls was not easy at all, I know many "masochist" setters who loves to build real hardcore, put some upstream gates on the really most difficult places which results in many girls having enormous troubles and this again will favour only the home girls with the best knowledge of the local track they trained many different variants multiple times there

Still no detailed entry lists available on the ICF site, that´s nothing new from this federation..., but from what I read here and there around the web thanks different national federations websites and their nominations, here my small personal predictions.
M K1 is probably the most open and most balanced category and thus the most difficult to predict.
all should be the favs for the quotas, if anyone othem miss the quota here that should be quite a surprise, but for the next 2 spots I expect a tough battle between with Antoine Launay (I am still not sure if he is eligible to compete at the Olympics though), and with Igor Tsviet, and Mathieu Doby (with favorising Portugal and Ukraine)
M C1, Only 11 quotas available at the Worlds is very hard, Expecting some surprises here. but the main favs for the quotas should be without doubts and . However and are definitely not to be underestimated.
W K1, 18 quotas, and are the strongest bets for the quotas, and the underdogs aspiring for a surprise here
W C1 Since Jessica Fox and Ana Satila will very likely qualify in the K1(same for Viktoriia Us for UKR and Luuka Jones for NZL) will have to believe in the help of her sister Noemie in C1 all should qualify without much problems, but for the remaining 2 spots we can expect some really interesting battle between and

The thing that made me mad as heck is that only 1 of these guys can start at the Olympics. while in many other sports countries can field even 3 athletes...I just can not understand it. this is just beyond me.
