  1. 3rd medal for :SVK wrestling (not counting the medals gained under Czechoslovakia, even if the world title of Jozef Lohyňa in Tokyo 1990 is still considered as the biggest slovak wrestling success of all times) second bronze since the independence.

     

     

    2 bronze medals in 2003 and now in 2019 + 1 single silver from Makoev in 2017

    well, this happen when someone doesn´t think twice about when schedulling his hollidays...you can blame only yourself, so experienced guy with schedulling free times by the Olympics and made such mistake :d

    *Belgrade Red Star and Sofia will play tomorrow for the first place and ticket for the second round, Istanbul and Akureyri are mathematically already out.

    *Belgrade Red Star need 1 point tomorrow, so any Regular Time win, Overtime or GWS Win or Lose will be enough for the Serbian champion to top the group.

    **Sofia need to beat Belgrade in Regulation Time. If Istanbul will defeat Akureyri in Regulation Time as well, Sofia will need to beat Belgrade by 3 goals margin.

    ***Zagreb and Herentals will play in the direct match "just" for the 2nd and 3rd place in the group.

    Also, I just remembered a really unique fact about my childhood for some reason.

     

    Before the space shuttle program was shutdown, they used to land in my home town. The sonic booms were unbelievably loud. Seeing that thing just dart across the sky and then slow down was just awesome. All of the landings I saw (2 I think) were successful thankfully. 

     

    Apparently the biggest amount of slovaks or peoples of slovak ancestry lives in Pittsburgh, they also organize apparently some annual festival wow :woot:

The new super star of the sport the 15 years old Junior World Champion the :RUSAlexandra Trusova won in Bratislava the Ondrej Nepela Trophy in a new historical maximum 163.78 for her free skate in total 238.69 another WR. in 2d place finshed 6th from PyeongChang 2018 Kaori Sakamoto of :JPN and in 3rd place Kim Ha-Nul :KOR 13th from PC 2018 WOG.

     

    Trusova performed 3 quadruple jumps during her free skate including one toe-loop in combination with triple toe-loop ! The other two were quadruple lutz and qgain a simple quadruple toe-loop, by this she rewrote the history beating the register of Alina Zagitova during her gold free skate at PyeongChang.

     

     

    The ice dance event was won by Viktoria Sinitsina/Nikita Katsalapov of :RUS ahead of Sara Hurtado/Kirill Khaliavin :ESP and Lorraine McNamara/Quinn Carpenter of the USA
