  1. Even knowing kind of how Serbians view Kosovo's independence and recognizing 'Srpska' in that sign, there's no way the rest of those signs would have made me think it had anything to do with Kosovo So thanks
  2. Riabushenko is in the month of his life too
  3. Last kilometers of this race at the ancient Citadel of Namen/Namur is always a beauty for the eyes And this time the race itself was really good too
  4. oooooh scandal and bombs Rafaela Silva of Brazil, reigning Olympic judo champion (and hero of the 'from favela to Olympic gold' stories around her gold medal) has tested positive. https://globoesporte.globo.com/judo/noticia/medalhista-olimpica-do-judo-rafaela-silva-e-flagrada-no-exame-antidoping.ghtml
  5. Which I find mostly surprising for Liechtenstein. I mean, sure, they are tiny and everyone with athletic ability puts on skis but surely someone can run a half-decent marathon or 100m or something? I'm mostly sad about Tuvalu, I always like seeing them in the 100m heats.
  6. Well you quite literally said "then your country shouldn't be playing", so I thought you meant they shouldn't be playing Of course they're trying their best, no doubt. It's still a tiny nation though, it's impressive they can field a full U16 team. Yemen is in all kinds of terrible situations, yes, but they've got 30 times as many people, no wonder they can field a better team (especially in football, which is pretty much known as a sport poor people can easily* play since you really don't need much for it - a ball and whichever random things can function as goal posts). *relatively of course, compared to many other sports
  7. So every young Bhutanese boy who specifically wants to play football should give up their dreams because Bhutan's best bets are in other sports? That sounds pretty North Korean.
  8. East Timor keeping Australia (!) to only one goal, that sounds rather impressive

  10. Meanwhile Tom Dumoulin is being an ass and throwing Georg Preidler under the bus, now that it looks more and more like Preidler was not only doped in 2018, but also during his Sunweb time in 2017, including in the Giro in which he helped Dumoulin to victory. At least take the time to bring out a statement that at the very least looks like it's finished, instead of having a photo (not even a screenshot) of your Word document with the spelling check still on
  11. Writing, speaking, being a historian, reporting, climbing, cycling, running, debating....I'm curious if you dare name things you're not good at
  12. I swear I remember somethin about football and ghosts and them being allowed
  13. That's what I did in the first few years, but then it got harder and I hadn't really learned how to study, resulting in piss-poor notes on hellish stuff like maths (and by extension chemistry and physics, they don't tell you those are all basically just maths as well )
  14. Grosu is having a really excellent year
  15. Also, unbelievable so many bigger teams than this Terengganu keep contracting rider after rider of who you can already bet they'll perform less than someone like Reguigui, who would at least be good for some important points for a ProContinental team or something.
  16. His number of top-5 finishes without a significant win this year is getting incredible Surely he should win at least one stage in this race..
  17. As long as you don't use black magic in your weird fucking..
  18. Ik denk het wel, maar durf het echt niet met zekerheid te zeggen, vaag gedoe allemaal.
  19. Which they should.
  20. Didn't Egypt have rules about not allowing the use of ghosts in football matches or something? @thepharoah
  21. I feel like a mod should move a couple of pages to another thread We all really suck at staying on topic and yes, I'm very much looking at you, guy in the mirror.
  22. And do you, like me, pretty much collapse as soon as the exam is over? I'm generally tired but fine during the exam, then in the train back home I have to pull out all stops just to stay awake
  23. Wait what
  24. Every single time after an exam, pass or fail, this is exactly what I promise myself. "But I did the same last time", I tell myself then. "No but this time it's for real!", I answer. And here we are again
  25. What do you guys do when studying for an exam, out of these two options? 1) The night before the exam, go to bed early enough to have an extra decent amount of sleep. 2) Sacrifice sleep in the night before the exam, and spend the extra time studying, with the drawback that you'll be tired come exam time. Option 3 ("Make sure you've got all the studying done in time so this dilemma is not necessary anymore") is not an option
