  1. It's a provisional start list though, changes are possible...(Brazil was on the provisional list for the SMR in Lenzerheide even though they had already left Lenzerheide for example)
  2. Right, time to get my studying for the week done, get my run in and be ready and cheering for bibs 60 and 71 tomorrow, let the individual champs begin https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/1819/BT/SWRL/CH__/SWSP/BT_C51A_1.0.pdf
  3. Luckily at the Open Europeans in Minsk local TV production didn't show us half the shootings of every Belarussian rando fighting for 83rd spot
  4. I don't disagree with that Just that in Trump's case attacking him for a specific sexual act (as long as the act itself - and more importantly, the person it happens with - is legal obviously) is sort of weak, but sadly happens quite a lot by people who mean that as a serious 'sign' showing he's incapable
  5. It's rather stupid there is no camera right above and/or on the line for cases like that ball being outside or not. It was impossible to see for sure on any of the angles shown on TV whether or not the full size of the ball (and not just the 'footprint', so to speak) was entirely over the line or not.
  6. Yeah and snow is apparently cold and kinda wet.
  7. Hence the hope for at least Schalke to kick one out (and Ajax or Porto to win to finally have something different)
  8. Quarter final, men's 1000m: "Steenaart needs to stay close and so does Chen Yubo, because Lim might get penalized for taking out Nikisha!" Good morning commentator, Chen does not need to 'stay close' 'in case Lim gets penalized'. If Lim gets penalized, there are only two skaters left, being Steenaart and Chen, who are then automatically qualified no matter if they are 0,1 seconds or a minute behind Lim.
  9. Ajax and Porto to the semi's, Lyon and Schalke to kick out Barcelona and Man City and this tournament is finally gonna get interesting
  10. Women are men, men are women aaand start!
  11. I can't understand how anyone can see VAR as a terrible idea...the current execution is not perfect, but surely taking out some fouls simply makes the game much more fair than missing all of those that VAR does take out? It should just be done faster, now often VAR is looking and after a few minutes, the referee goes to the monitor to check for himself Just do it like in hockey: team asks for a video review (limited number of opportunities to do so), VAR checks and tells the ref what the decision is, done.
  12. To be fair, being in trouble over a golden shower is bullshit of the highest level
  13. Hinz is the mentally toughest, according to German coaches I overheard during lunch in Arber If Preuss is out because of illness I'm throwing my laptop out of the window (not literally)

  15. It massively helped Algo Kärp as well, although 'ironically my best results were without doping'.
  16. Here he says he was going to do it at these world champs, but 'it didn't happen' https://www.sports.ru/skiing/1072266160.html One might wonder if it didn't happen because of a decision he made or because the police broke down the door.
  17. Interesting. I still don't find it hopeful that he's the son of Alfred Eder, who was apparently involved (and acquitted) in the whole Turin 2006 doping scandal involving Markus Gandler as wel (who is active in the Austrian biathlon team now)..
  18. Stage 1 (1st): team time trial, so he finished 1st there Stage 3: rather tough uphill finish, which he has been good at since he entered cycling (and it only got better all the time) Stage 4: same thing really Stage 6 (1st): again, long uphill finish It's not really strange for someone in a multi-stage tour to be strong in most of the mountain stages and this tour just happened to have quite a lot of mountain stages (+ definitely not everyone is in top shape yet)
  19. Hence the Ajax fans singing "Ramos bedankt, Ramos bedankt!" ("Thank you Ramos, thank you Ramos!")
  20. Brazil does, although they mostly focus like madmen on their Olympians and kinda pretend the rest doesn't exist.
