  1. And where the second-best Dutch judoka in history, Anton Geesink, stunned the Japanese by taking the open weight Olympic gold
  2. It was the venue of the world judo championships one or two weeks ago
  3. That's a tiny bit less dangerous Seriously though, that new one already is in the area, it's not like it still has the entire Atlantic to cross. One can only hope it won't get to the insane strenghts Dorian had.
  4. And people look at me weird when I don't eat Satan's Vomit Balls A.K.A. olives.
  5. [hide] Knockout Round September 10th - September 15th, 2019 8 Nations, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Bronze Medal Match and Gold Medal Match Semifinals Date & Time (GMT +8) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 September 13th 2019, h. 20:00 Argentina 5 France September 13th 2019, h. 16:00 Spain 10 Australia [/hide]
  6. I'm surprised they only did so now...I mean, literally everybody in the entire world could see that was not gonna be an option..
  7. That thing could develop into something really, really nasty in the next 5-6 days or so....it's right above/near the Bahamas.
  8. Cool, another one with unrealistic promises that sound great but are pretty unlikely to actually happen if he wins.
  9. Fully trusting polling isn't smart after 2016 and wasn't smart before 2016, literally nothing changed about that Also: who on earth is this Yang? Time for google I guess.
  10. Doesn't make it good
  11. That sounds like something that's sadly pretty common in countries like Nigeria though? And definitely not just of the past few years. It's not like the Netherlands didn't have anyone like Wilders before Wilders. He was just a tiny bit more moderate though and, one of the worst bits of political stuff in modern Dutch history, got killed by some ultraleft dude: he left a radio interview and at the parking lot someone walked up to him and shot him dead. Not that long before the elections in which he was projected to have a major win.
  12. Oh, too late then, he was mostly the favourite going in (and then Clinton became favourite during the results and later it turned back to Trump). I very much remember when there was no Republican candidate yet, the first rumours started about that weirdo business dude running for president and I took a look at the odds...the odds of Trump becoming the Republican candidate (not president, but candidate) were at 200 at that moment! If I had placed ten euro on it, I'd have a €1990 profit Obviously I didn't.
  13. Yay!
  14. Depending on how early on, you could have made quite some very decent money with it
  15. This has been said so much by people who don't like Trump and I doubt so much most of them would say the same if Clinton had won the EC but not the popular vote. It's rather predictable, really.
  16. Thanks, now I have someone to cheer against at EuroVolley
  17. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earvin_N'Gapeth Well that sounds like a real Mekhissi-Benabbad 2.0 right there, thanks for the info About basketball: which robbery? I only watched the highlights plus don't know a lot about basketball, so I'm curious.
  18. Congratulations And I am so annoyed I missed one event
  19. And it's official, Rwanda is a candidate for the 2025 world championships https://sporza.be/nl/2019/09/11/rwanda-wk-wielrennen-2025/ Come on, finish the bid process now and give it to them for the world championships with the best atmosphere in the history of world championships
  20. 50 guys now, the gap is increasing and Jumbo, UAE and Astana are riding at the front of the peloton of course. Rojas, Erviti, Oliveira, Quintana (Movistar) Latour, Dilier, Jaurégui, Venturini (AG2R La Mondiale) G. Izagirre, LL Sanchez (Astana) Haussler, Teuns (Bahrain Merida) S. Bennett (Bora-Hansgrohe) Koch, Van Hooydonck (CCC Team) Declerq, Cavagna, Gilbert, Capecchi, Knox, Jakobsen, Stybar (Deceuninck QuickStep) Craddock, Docker, Martinez (EF) van der Sande (Lotto Soudal) Chaves, Bewley, Howson, Smith (Mitchelton-Scott) Boasson Hagen, King, Tiller, Venter (Dimension Data) Poels, Geoghegan Hart, Stannard (Ineos) Kelderman, Arndt, Pedersen, Power, Walscheid (Team Sunweb) Degenkolb, Kirsch (Trek Segafredo) Marcato, Molano, Troia (UAE Team Émirates) Bol (Burgos BH) Serrano (Caja Rural) Bagües (Euskadi) A third of the peloton has broken away and Jumbo didn't get a single one there, great job!
  21. 47 men in the lead group at the moment All of Quick-Step except for Richeze is there
  22. Eerst maar even zorgen dat er geen rare dingen gebeuren en ze dat OKT gewoon halen
  23. Not on here, but definitely in the Netherlands. Greece indeed 'sank' with coach John van 't Schip ('Schip' = ship in Dutch)
