  1. Lenzerheide definitely should get a World Cup though, at least a good shot at it. Facilities are excellent, it's (relatively, for a biathlon venue) easy to reach.
  2. Seeing her name made my heart jump for a bit, until I realized Noriaki's daughter is only two years old or so https://www.lausanne2020.sport/results/nh/en/Participant/ParticipantInfo/b4dbced0-916e-41d7-9253-66a072870e5a
  3. Right, 'lower the start to the Alpine Combined start'. At least the Hundschopf is still in, but no Russisprung, no Traversenschuss
  4. Goddammit, not the Lauberhorn Where is the reserve start, still before the Hundschopf I hope...?
  5. Duda 1 - Taynara 0 That probably decides the battle over three events
  6. Both Brazilian girls underway in the cross, let's go!
  7. Yeah, because our Slovakian friend barely talks about Vlhova at all I hate the oversleeping/alpine skiing combo, it made me miss the 2014 Olympic men's downhill Still mad at waking up, thinking "oh fuck" and seeing bib 25 or something go down when I turned on the TV
  8. Do the commentators in your country also mention Liensberger's 'boot drama' every single time? I don't think I've seen one run of her this season yet where the Dutch one did not mention it
  9. Oh my bad When you write 'Petra' my mind automatically jumps to 'Vlhova'
  10. @Olympian1010 I haven't had time to read today yet, but how many athletes go through to the semis in XC cross, 30?
  11. I've heard of all of them, but Sildaru is the one who's already been in the spotlights for many years.
  12. Oh and I missed Kelly Sildaru is competing here. I feel like she's been on the stage forever but of course she's only just 17
  13. Melissa Peperkamp was the only female snowboarder with a sort of decent first run?
  14. Generally athletes who are out cold don't (obviously consciously) move their hands to try and cover their faces while still falling, and don't move their body in a clearly conscious way even a little. Anyway, not being knocked out doesn't make the fall much better, I mostly hope her back turns out to be ok.
  15. Definitely not knock-out, nasty fall indeed though (the one of 10 minutes ago).
  16. I'm still watching yesterday's alpine skiing and since I noticed watching one thing instead of two makes the one thing I'm watching much more fun, I just use my laptop (I watch on my desktop) for things like forums and live timing I'll watch the luge WC later
  17. Something's pretty wrong here, I don't think Yeh had a runtime of 52.1 seconds in run two... For comparison, that is almost two seconds faster than the winner of run one I do wonder how a mistake like that happens, it's not like one can cut a corner without crashing out of the track in some insane way (which would most probably have led to cancellation of the competition). And in the last intermediate, everything still looked normal
  18. It'd be too much to have another pair of same-name/no-family athletes after Andi and Max Langenhan
  19. Berzins with some destruction at the bottom
  20. I wonder if Kristers Aparjods is the first 2016 Youth Olympian to be mentioned as someone's hero in 2020 https://www.lausanne2020.sport/results/nh/en/Participant/ParticipantInfo/7361a9bc-0c90-4e45-b1a1-9c46fc6ddbe4
  21. Every four years, luckily. I hope they won't increase that to every two years..
  22. Ugh, why does it feel so predictable to have something like this in Minsk of all places? Maybe because the rest of Europe isn't interested Great by the way, now places with an excellent layout for a great road race but without a nearby track or mountainbike course or BMX track can't have the champs anymore. This sounds almost as stupid as the ISU's combined speed skating world championships..
