  1. More interesting, that's another article that claims that there are rumors that Japan will retain only the Olympic berths won by Noguchi and T. Narasaki, in order to be free to choose their second climber in both genders next year.
  2. What? Results say he finished in 58 seconds. On video I have only seen him while he wasn't able to go into his lane at the start and then he was still there when the others had started. I'm not sure I can believe he finished if I can't see a video.
  3. Any video evidence of Pita finishing the race?
  4. Yes, I know that. But if her only link to Spain is having a Spanish parent, then it's much more normal for her to represent France (or Switzerland or the Netherlands if she was a citizen of those countries where she lived for many years). Can't blame her for choosing another country if she saw it as a better opportunity (one might say that's why she was representing Spain first)
  5. Traitor? Has she ever lived in Spain at least?
  6. And Garnbret wins the lead and takes her third gold ahead of Noguchi and Coxsey. Noguchi and Nonaka win the Japanese battle for the Olympic quota.
  7. Edit: ranking will be taken on 1 November https://ifsc-egw.wavecdn.net/Editors/2019/i19_W2.pdf and Ondra will have a good combined ranking by then if he starts in the Lead+Speed stage in October.
  8. Am I reading it wrong or does the article imply that Ondra can't take part in the Qualification Event in Toulouse? (as if they were going to consider the World Cup ranking as of now instead of waiting for the end of the season, which seems illogical to me)
  9. Tune in on Wednesday at 17:55 to see if the prayers worked
  10. Quota for: ? ? Alexander Megos Jakob Schubert Rishat Khaibullin Adam Ondra Mickael Mawem Ludovico Fossali Edit: if Ondra loses the quota after the appeal, Sean McColl is next in line
  11. ok thanks. A couple of other things: - there are 8 finalists in combined from now on, so Miroslaw and Nonaka are in final; - for the OQT the participants will be the top 20 not yet qualified of the World Cup Ranking, not WCH. Still no idea about the limit per NOC.
  12. I don't see any additional criteria for the Continental Champions...maybe you mean if the Tripartite Commission quota is not awarded (the requirement is WCH participation, so no one should be eligible)
  13. So, Olympic quota for: Shauna Coxsey ? Janja Garnbret ? Petra Klingler Aleksandra Miroslaw Brooke Raboutou Jessica Pilz
  14. Quota for Joao Azevedo Vladimir Lisin
  15. Kim is 16th tied with another in lead and 17th tied with another in boulder 16.5×35×17.5= 10106.25
  16. Any link to the official combined standings please?
  17. For the n-th time, fencing can not be a qualification event. Full stop. I would honestly disregard whatever African sources say on the matter of Olympic qualification unless it's confirmed by the IFs.
  18. Women's Trap: Olympic quota for (Penny Smith) (Satu Makela-Nummela)
  19. First time under 4 minutes in junior men's team pursuit, both Germany and France did it in the final. 3:58.793 is the new junior world record. In women's once again Italy gold and New Zealand silver (for the 4th year in a row) but this time it was an extremely close final, only 0.007s separating the two teams!
  20. Don't forget that the water was also full of shit. "Test results showed levels of E. Coli up to 20 times above the accepted limit and faecal coliform bacteria seven times higher than the permitted levels".
  21. This "lowly test event" gives more ranking points than a World Series stage...in other sports you can get a lengthy ban for fixing results in such an obvious way.
  22. To be clear, athletes have to be in top 50 of the world ranking as of April 2020 which will be different from the Olympic ranking as of April 2020 ( OR has some categories merged, only 1 continental championship counted instead of 2, some competitions coefficients are not the same and the results between April and July 2018 are not counted)
  23. As said above, I count 6 NOCs with eligible athletes at the moment: Benin, Macedonia, Kosovo, Pakistan, Albania, Kuwait. I think problems can arise especially in women's categories. If they can't fill a spot, it will go to the highest ranked athlete in the Olympic ranking.
  24. I agree. Impossible, is not eligible for that
