  1. Source? All documents say the contrary.
  2. + Kosovo, Albania and maybe some others that I missed. Benin has one in 33rd position in the World Ranking. No, it's only more difficult to get ranking points in karate. Apart from the continental and world championships, only the major circuit (PL and Serie A) gives points, with top athletes participating regularly, and usually you have to win 3 bouts to get a good amount of points.
  3. Lol at the Northern Americans...we don't care so the tournament is not worthy, it should be cancelled and replaced by the NBA Summer League Special Edition. And Canada has never shown to be a major player in international basketball...they could have done it this time but if they don't care the World Cup will be fine without their supposed top team.
  4. Official website link above gives an error, it's https://jwm-frankfurt.de/en/ Streaming also here https://sportdeutschland.tv/radsport
  5. It's the most important basketball competition of the quadriennium even if a couple of countries don't care at all, they should make the Olympic qualification much more dependent on the WC...no reason to give a free OQT spot to teams that don't give a damn about the international part of the sport for 4 years.
  6. I don't think so. It's true that there are only 6 points of distance, but Argentina has 50 points from the 2015 WC, Canada 30. For Argentina to overtake Canada, you need ARG in top 4 or ARG 5th and CAN 9th, which is possible but imo not that likely.
  7. 4 Italian teams are already qualified (M and W volleyball, M water polo, softball) Still in contention: W water polo: very big chance W 3x3 basketball and Baseball: good chance M basketball: small chance W field hockey: tiny chance The rest are out.
  8. Considering the current FIVB ranking, if Iran, Canada, France/Serbia, Egypt and Chile (?) qualify, the groups would be something like: A) Japan, Italy, Poland, Argentina, Iran, Chile B) Brazil, USA, Russia, Canada, France/Serbia, Egypt I don't think the ranking will change much after the World Cup, maybe we could have Russia instead of Italy or Poland. Imo the worst scenario from this point of view is the one in which both Bulgaria/Germany/Slovenia and Cuba manage to qualify, we would have: A) Japan, Italy, Poland, Iran, Egypt, Chile B) Brazil , USA , Russia, Argentina, Bulgaria, Cuba
  9. How do you know the future? Are you involved in the match fixing scheme?
  10. Madness to race on these roads, there will be a lot of accidents
  11. https://www.uipmworld.org/sites/default/files/final_-_2019-02-20_-_tokyo_2020_-_qualification_system_-_modern_pentathlon_-_eng_1.pdf " Europe - 8 highest places with a maximum of one (1) quota place per NOC Should the athlete who obtained one (1) of the quota places through the Continental Championships has already qualified via the 2019 UIPM World Cup Final or the 2019 UIPM World Championships, the quota place will be allocated to the next highest placed athlete, not yet qualified, at the respective Continental Championship. "
  12. Easy win and Olympic quota for Canada.
  13. Still a small hope that Bulgaria can save us from seeing Chile at the Olympics . And I think Cuba will be a very difficult opponent for Canada...they are 2-0 against Iran right now despite still missing important players.
  14. Probably old news, but I see only now that Cuba has started to reintegrate some players into their roster (the large one at least), especially Robertlandy Simon.
  15. A great lesson on about generalizations coming from mister "British are always the worst" himself. No double standards here.
  16. I support a revolutionary movement whose goal is to have a link to the "useful website" in the first post instead of the official one when the latter is useless http://www.uec.ch/en/event/104/2019-elite-under-23-juniors-road-european-championships
  17. FIVB did nothing for this a couple of years ago (and they even put the photo on their site according to the article) so they set the standard.

  20. Sorry I'm not sure then, I only read the qualification document which says "the highest placed athlete at each continental....". In 2016 it said "the winner of each continental...". Also Wikipedia says only the winner so I was probably wrong.
  21. how is the Omega website excellent if you have to pay something like 2000€ to see live results? The only thing you can do for free on Omega is to download the PDFs...
  22. Canada and USA both have 12/13 players who were at the WCH in their roster.
  23. % of fencers eliminated in pools must be at least 20% if they follow FIE rules, so at least 4 out of 18. Also, https://wrsd.lima2019.pe/PAG2019/resPAG2019/pdf/PAG2019/FEN/PAG2019_FEN_C74P_FENMEPEE--------------------------.pdf
