I just read more about this Ultimate world championship that Will start next year - how can they call it an ultimate championship when they have handpicked the events. I know hammer is not in the Diamond league but here they have really been discriminating some events, especially throwing and some events are in for only one gender. Why? Shot put might not be the most popular event but tbh how interesting are the mixed relays?

I was pretty sure Hasselborg/Eriksson would be the Swedish olympic team automatically After they won the Swedish trial against all other potential teams, to make it to the worlds and also with the experience as former World mixed doubles champions but it Will not be that easy now to select them over Wranå/Wranå who won the world championship last year.

According to Ståhls new coach, Ståhl has only the interest practicing and competing with the focus to performance in the important arena competitions. But he has as you say never said anything negative about the performances in these events. However I would have liked to see him and Ceh there too (Ståhl might not be good enough for 74 now in any conditions but definitely a few years ago), for fun, i am still not thinking these are the best discus throws ever. Not so big difference to the Diamond league, except DL has the field events to show during the breaks between races but DL also give the running to much tv time when if they at least have the field events. Maybe DL even more can focus on the field events now that GST has the running. also what is the point of putting together for example 400m and 400 hurdles in the same category🤔
