  1. Nice smile from this man
  2. DR Congo conceiving 2 goals in 2 minutes, oh come on! I guess it's all over in that group...
  3. Saudi Arabia scores. Is Asia going to have a surprise?
  4. And now red cards for both Gabon and Burkina Faso, loool
  5. Cape Verde 2:0 though.
  6. Senegal scored.
  7. Apparently not. You need the average of best 5 placings to be under 300.
  8. Lol, so Saudi Arabia is the last hope. If you can call them hope.
  9. Salcedo has ensured Olympic qualification for Chile, on the plus side.
  10. But then again, after watching UZB - KOR match for 10 minutes I see the situation is hopeless. UZB is awful, it's a miracle that Korea still hasn't converted one of the million opportunities they had.
  11. Eh, Syria Hopefully Uzbekistan can score one goal and at least secure that we won't have such a predictable outcome of Asian qualifications.
  12. Syria is provisionally in direct qualifying position!
  13. Yeah, more quotas for powerhouses means less medals and less participation for smaller nations. In the long run that just makes sport less competitive as it's the Olympics medals or just participation that is the key of sport development and general interest around the World... The last time that canoe slalom had multiple quotas was in 2004. Then both Japan and New Zealand didn't participate. At all. In Rio last year they both got a medal, so there is no need at all to go back at multiple boats.
  14. Lithuanian second quota is correct. They have Vaicius in top 300 of sprint (and 3 athletes overall with A standard). I think it's the case of what they meant, and not necessarily what they exactly said in the qualification system. It's like swimming where mixing A and B athletes is a big no. For example, I remember in 2014 we had a girl just making the sprint top 300 and we weren't given the extra quota. Bulgaria also had one girl just making it, but they were given the extra quota. The only difference between CRO and BUL was that BUL had 2 athletes with A standard, while CRO had 1.
  15. It's almost as if women's section is programmed incorrectly. Latvia is given 2 female quotas somehow, even though they have zero athletes with A standard. Croatia and Iceland are in the same situation, but with men's teams. One A standard athlete is within top 300, but that means nothing as there is no other athlete with A standard.
  16. Pretty sure it should be one in both. Hope they don't see a potential mistake. Krešimir Crnković still doesn't have A standard (111 FIS points as of now). Dadić's top 300 would mean something only if we had another athlete with A standard. No idea why FIS is giving us 2 women's quotas, it's clear that there should be only one, as we only have one athlete with A standard.
  17. Both of them were under 100 points in fact.
  18. Both of them under 100 FIS points, actually.
  19. Mourao won by convincing 25 seconds. I guess it's all over now?

  21. This gave me an idea. Chamonix 1924 St. Moritz coming up next week.
  22. Well, he did won the gold in Rio thanks to shidos, so, nothing new.
  23. Ian Stark's commentary. Barely 10 riders have gone and he already said "Ooooh, yikes!!" like 50 times.
  24. DR Congo Seems likely that there won't be any new nation (or almost new nation).
  25. Samoa will replace Tonga as the host for the next Pacific Games.
