  1. Only 20 athletes so far, but 5 debuting sports. That's amazing. They have been around 1964 so not exactly a new nation.
  2. I guess that's organizers' work (and not EAA's)?
  3. At the Olympics only in 100m athletes receive bye. And that's because heats are basically a race for athletes who didn't qualifiy but received wild cards.
  4. What's this, top athletes receive bye from heats? What a joke. What's going to be next, top athletes automatically qualified for finals?
  5. Andorra received one of the wild cards (women's -63kg). But too bad that we have to find alternative ways to learn about wild cards as IJF still didn't publish anything.
  6. It works with Hola VPN. It looks like they are fixing international live stream, as it seems more stable now.
  7. Live stream is a mess at the moment.
  8. There was also one pro (with record 14-0-0, apparently) who lost on knockout in the first minute of round one.
  9. Qualification system says that the next best (not already qualified) nation from the tournament where Argentina qualified would get it. So, yeah, it would be Uruguay.
  10. Marcela Marić is in. http://radio.hrt.hr/radio-zadar/clanak/marcela-maric-na-olimpijskim-igrama/122907/
  11. FINA finally confirmed Marcela Marić's quota. Thanks for being such a troll yesterday FINA. Anyway, we debut in diving. (in Croatian) http://radio.hrt.hr/radio-zadar/clanak/marcela-maric-na-olimpijskim-igrama/122907/
  12. Well, I wasn't saying that the site is bad (I think it's a very handy site and I visit it quite often). Just that IAAF lists are the official ones at the end of the day. Anyway, I also noticed that Karabo Mothibi (men's 100m) and Kabange Mupopo (women's 200m) are not there. Don't remember if there was someone else.
  13. Laura Tomlinson failed to qualify in dressage. She won gold and bronze in London where she competed as Laura Bechtolsheimer.
  14. The difference is that Germany never officially declined it (it was only a rumour). ISAF never showed that quota as delclined in their summary.
  15. They already awarded the quota to another crew, it would be unfair to say "no you can't go anymore because Romanian NOC changed their mind". I don't think this could happen in any sport.
  16. I believe there's nothing they can do if NOC officially declined it.
  17. I get 34 athletes in men's platform accoring to that summary. 28 in individual + 6 only in synchro (Oliveira (BRA), Lin (CHN), Goodfellow (GBR), Hausding (GER), Dolgov (UKR), Gorshkovozov (UKR)).
  18. Great Britain Team Dressage Fiona Bigwood (Orthilia) Charlotte Dujardin (Valegro) Carl Hester (Nip Tuck) Spencer Wilton (Super Nova) Eventing William Fox-Pitt (Chilli Morning) Kitty King (Ceylor) Gemma Tattersall (Billy The Biz) Isabelle Taylor (Allercombe Ellie) Jumping Ben Maher (Tic Tac) Nick Skelton (Big Star) John Whitaker (Ornellaia) Michael Whitaker (Cassionato) The average age of the jumping team is 51.75. Ben Maher is 33, but Skelton and Whitaker brothers 55+. Whitaker brothers actually won team jumping medal back in Los Angeles in 1984. John also won medals at the 1980 Alternative Olympics for boycotting nations. These two are like a great piece of history.
  19. road-to-rio page isn't the most trusted source. I get that they want to update the lists as soon as possible (sooner than IAAF). But in the end IAAF is more trusted. For example, Jordin Andrade (400m hurdles) qualified some time ago according to IAAF rankings (and according to their NOC), but he's name is still not on road-to-rio page.
  20. Time for deja vu. You are an expert in giving a false hope to the athletes. Just today ISAF updated the qualification list in which Austria declined the quota. Estonia is a new qualifier. You might have to add Austria to high-risk places to visit (along with Tonga).
  21. They are looking to have 68 athletes per gender, and that doesn't necessarily means that 34 athletes have to compete in springboard and 34 in platform. Could be more athletes if a same athlete competes in both. In this summary they do have 68 men (and one woman missing). Back in 2012 for example, 35 women altogether competed in springboard (synchro + individual).
  22. Well, this is weird. They suddenly updated the quotas and South Africa no longer has 2 athletes... http://www.fina.org/content/rio-2016-diving-participating-athletes At the moment one female athlete seems to be missing (67 out of 68 quotas are filled). But who knows, maybe we won't get it in the end because of an administrative mistake.
  23. WOW, we AGAIN miss a historic qualification by one position as South Africa suddenly has two divers. They accepted both continental quota and reallocated quota, even though their selection criteria clearly says that they will not do so. This is a huge fuck you to the face of all South African athletes whose continental quotas were rejected (in archery, boxing, canoeing, rugby, field hockey, synchro swimming, mountain bike etc etc). Even New Zealand accepted an athlete who clearly doesn't have a top-16/top-8 potential. Well, I had enough of this. Goodbye.
  24. I'm sure they will be delighted after seeing that you give them 1% medal chance.
