  1. It depends on what event - for example an indoor event won’t take much adjustment to Japanese conditions.
  2. I guess that is why they have flown over more than two weeks before competition begins. What are the protocols for contact and plane sitting. No one seems to know.
  3. The countries where the rates of Covid are currently higher are simply more likely to catch the virus before they travel than if they have come from somewhere where cases are currently low. Obviously once in Tokyo everyone has a similar chance of catching it.
  4. He has said it’s a thigh injury which has ruled him out for a couple of weeks.
  5. I think a lot will come from the UK due to how high Covid is here as they leave - bound to be a few picking it up.
  6. Hungary won both of the fencing events in 2016 so should be in the hunt for medals.
  7. I wonder how many European countries will win a medal on day 1. I know GB is very unlikely.
  8. Does it look like Discovery Plus will have every stream?
  9. I think part of it is because Peaty is the most well known swimmer in the UK and therefore the most likely candidate in people eyes to win a relay gold for the first time since 1908. It is interesting that while Britain might end up with 2 or even 3 golds in the pool total medals might be lower than the six won in 2016.
  10. In many sporting competitions this year a positive Covid test is immediately repeated. Is that not the case here?
  11. And even in some of the judged ones Falls and Error’s are quite common.
  12. Not sure about the last two. Agree about Peaty. I think GB will win at least one medal in the women’s triathlon but not sure who or what colour.
  13. Probably next Friday for the final list.
  14. I feel it’s more likely ranking points will be reintroduced.
  15. I think also those athletes who either have to compete on many days to finish an event or compete in multiple events will be more at risk than those who are only competing on one or two days.
  16. Scandinavians are like GB with good vaccine uptakes I believe
  17. As it stands for the first time ever I will be missing the entire games as I will be abroad in Greece.
  18. It feels a recipiemfor disaster to have the village open over a week before completions for most begin.
  19. Apparently the Russian Rugby Seven women team only have to Quarantine for four days at the most
  20. Which country gets the spare doubles place?
  21. Swapping seats has caused problems in quarantine before. People should know that.
  22. Japan population don’t want the games - this is just them trying not possibly see civil disobedience occur becuase of them.
  23. From his message I think he is trying to make people think he might have been poisoned. That will be a spectacular defence,
