They really need to start giving ranking points in tennis again. Ideally, it should be a 1000 level tournament, but even a 500 level would probably stop the majority of withdrawals.

Hi everyone.  Long time no see.  Long story short, I've had difficulty signing in here for about a year now, but I've been following along.  Thank you to everyone here that is keeping everything up to date.  
 
Thank you to everyone recently who has been keeping me up to date on all the Olympic qualifying and summaries.  It's been a crazy last few months (for everyone, I'm sure) so I haven't had a chance to look into things myself.  This site is always a great source for everything Olympics.  
 
I'm living in Beijing currently, looking forward to the Olympics here next year.  I live very close to some venues.  But first Tokyo!

Karate really should have been a 16 person tournament. I know the IOC wants to keep quotas tight, but it just doesn't feel like the tournament will do the sport justice.

I'm just going with what's listed on the IJF website.

I know, but Carolin Marin is out, the girl from  ended career last year and  girl probably will not fulfill Dutch's NOC restrictions, with those 3 womens being out other  player Wiktoria Dąbczyńska might get reallocation.

Around 35 refugee athletes will be announced tomorrow. Sounds like a lot...

I think the ranking will be published after the world championships (even if the events have already occurred).

Is there a women's singles equivalent? I couldn't find one.

Reallocations are based on MQS results, not World Rankings. Burnett has a 121 while have 120 and have 119.

Anyway here are the top eligible nations for each event along with how many quotas are available (I'm assuming the remaining tripartite quotas and North Korea's quotas will be reallocated). I will also list the next three eligible nations.

Currently, Ireland, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and potentially Venezuela are all in positions to obtain more than one quota so their quotas will have to reallocated. I am very positive that we will not have enough quotas in women's trap

Wait, that means Egypt will be forced to decline the quota because no one has at least 10 UCI Points in the March 3rd 2020 or May 31st 2021 rankings. That means the quota will go to Germany.

Looks like they are trying to change their rules, I hope they are getting their lawyers ready.

Sadly ISSF did not tell us which events have priority in the case where a nation is eligible for more than one quota.
 
I suspect it'll be the same as for the World Rankings, but I'm not sure how they will go by gender (interchanging male/female, interchanging female/male, all male first or all female first)

I think Germany misses out in both genders. Russia (men) and Canada (women) lose their ranking quota to South Africa/Egypt. They then qualify through the individual rankings, pushing out Japan/Germany. Japan will keep its host quota and thus pushes out Germany for the men while Belgium outranks Germany in the women and gets to keep their quota.
 
Of course if by replacing the lowest ranked nation happens at the end then it will be Germany/Belgium

That is incorrect, the individual rankings are based on the March 3rd 2020 individual rankings. For the men it will go to and for the women it will go to . Aruba lost out by one place.
 
The reallocation of the world champs (and host quota) goes to for men and for women.
