  5. Does anyone have any good documentaries to recommend featuring some story of past olympics? It can be about x country performance or an athlete/sport in particular, I'm more interested in olympics from Sydney and before. If it's in english or has subtitles then better, but if not I will still watch them. PS. Before someone asks me: yes, I have already watched almost all ESPN 30x30 and what the olympic channel shows
  6. Really looking forward to that 0-15 record and low attendance numbers.

  8. Austria and Poland got the quota in women's hockey 5s. But I'm a bit confused... where are Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, etc? no interest in youth olympics?? By the way, quotas for beach handball were decided after the U17 world championships few weeks ago: Men - Women - We have already decided for our women's team to participate, so our men's quota will be reallocated.
  9. Apparently new case of doping in our swimming like last year: this time it's Martin Naidich. If it ends up confirmed, I really don't know why he took them though, didn't make much of a difference. Argentina, only country in the world where dopers make worse marks than before
  10. yes, I know. The livescore was wrong when I wrote the post.
  11. I guess not all teams are in asian championship with their best players (I know Iran not)... Chinese Taipei got destroyed by Pakistan, how is that possible

  13. Yes it is the best team (except one defender), but they hired the current coach one month ago so I wasn't expecting great performances here, especially in the defensive system. We have suffered from really poor coaches last few years, but the current one seems like an ok guy and above all I still have blind faith in the future since the latest generation of juniors, some of which are playing their 1st tournament here, is our best ever IMO.
  14. I predicted Homer to win a medal and then he loses to one our random kids in the first round. I don't know if I should be happy or sad
  15. That was close, luckily I woke up at 2am to check totallympics for no reason
  16. No, for this tournament is the top five. But anyway, as I explained, it doesn't matter much being 5th or 6th is the same.
  17. Officially only 5, but 6th and 7th place will qualify too 99% sure. If you are asking for Egypt, the main mission for them in the remaining matches is not finish 8th, since they are ranked one place worse than China (who finished 8th in semifinal 1) they would be the first in line to be knocked out of their place by a continental champion.... which could be South Africa at the african cup. So, Egypt has to win one more match, if they don't, they will have to beat South Africa (again) at the african cup.

  19. After today, the 16 teams that will play the women's world cup have been practically decided. They will be: The reason it's all but decided is because there is like less than 1% chance for the 5 continental champions to not be among these teams. Unfortunately did a big effort beating at their home turf, but said team managed a comeback win against USA today to reach the QFs, leaving Chile out. Dream of a first World Cup for them will have to wait another 4 years.
  20. Which cities were waiting to bid for 2028 though?
  21. A little correction of something: Polo (and Squash too) will be exhibition events.
  22. There won't a ticket sale because they will be free. I don't know yet where/when they will be given.
  23. Some news: Polo has been added to the program and apparently FIH will allow us to qualify both teams for hockey... Our NOC seems desperate to scratch some medals wherever possible
  24. We will bid to host world league finals next year.
  25. USA also in semis. So, tomorrow: Russia-Brazil, Russia can only qualify winning 3-0. Serbia-France, Serbia has to win 3-0 or 3-1.
