From now on, i wlll try to do it day by day, according to LA 1984 schedule.

    Day 2 events were:

Cycling Track - Men's Individual Time Trial (can't understand why this isn't an olympic event anymore, so fun to watch)
    Shooting - Men's 50m Rifle Prone
    Swimming - Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay
    Swimming - Men's 100m Butterfly
    Swimming - Men's 400m Individual Medley
    Swimming - Women's 200m Freestyle
    Swimming - Women's 200m Breaststroke
    Weightlifting - Men's 56kg (Bantamweight)

EDIT: there was M 400 IM, not M 200 IM on day 2 in LA 1984, my mistake...

I have a plane to catch today, I won't be active in this forum next couple of days (lucky you, no more spam for some time),
but if anyone's want to carry on with this thread, do it please, you are free to go.
For me personally it is very interesting topic and i'm very curious how it's gonna look like when we finish with all 15 days of olympic events back in LA.

    Bye!

Yes, I know her story later on, I know the doping issues controversy, I know her come back story now, I think she will be a contender in Paris... but i know the controversy.

But still, here we are back in 2012, she is fifteen, and she can't believe what she just did.

I've seen it live on TV, i was laughing with joy and texting my Lithuanian friends immediately on this Sunday morning hours...

This is not what you think - they should or they should not.

This is about what you think is gonna happen, what IOC and Macron do about it?

Very very interested in the outcome of this poll.

    i think YES

but if it is me to decide i would say NO in today’s circumstances

i wonder what would have to happen that would make me change my mind before June 2024

I seemed to have missed the poll, so let me do my predictions down below:

Women’s Judo -48kg:  Gold- Natsumi Tsunoda , Silver- Assunta Scutto , Bronze- Shirine Boulki  , Bronze- Julia Figueroa

Men’s Judo -60kg: Gold- Naohisa Takato , Silver- Yeldos Smetov , Bronze- Yang Yung Wei , Bronze- Giorgi Sardalashvili

Men’s Fencing Sabre Individual: Gold- Aron Szilagyi , Silver- Maxine Pianfetti , Bronze- Luigi Samele

Women’s Fencing Epeé Individual: Gold- Rossella Fiamingo , Silver- Katrina Lehis , Bronze-  Marie-Florence Candassamy  (Another Hungary/Italy/France fencing podium, how unrealistic )

Probably would have Choi In-Jeong/Song Se-ra in the mix as well.

Men’s Street Skateboarding: Gold-Nyjah Houston , Silver- Gustavo Ribeiro , Bronze- Kelvin Hoefler

    oh..

we had a situation like this before in women's eights (rowing) imaginary series poll. One of our most active users voted for USA but he wannted to vote for ROU
And we decided that we will count the exact votes :-(((
    that vote went for USA
and sadly it was a decesive thing for the whole poll. If that vote went for ROU, the final results would be 1. ROU 2. USA and that would be 1st gold for ROU other than Comaneci in those series :-(

but KOR is strong in shooting so maybe in July 2024 it will turn out you are actually right !!!!

    greetings!

I have good memories of Pan Ams in Toronto in 2015. I won tickets in a sponsor giveaway to see the equestrian eventing final- I had to look up what eventing was but we had a great time there.

Looking forward to world swimming, track, and beach volleyball championships as well as basketball World Cup and all Paris qualifiers.

so, the last and 2nd most important tournament of the year is in the books...

despite sending a second (if not third) tier team,  Japan won the final medal table with 3 Gold , 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.

France were also very strong, finishing second in the medal table with 2 Gold, 6 Silver and 2 Bronze medals, followed by  Georgia, also winning 2 Gold medals, but adding to that only 1 Bronze.

7 more Nations won a single Gold medal ( and ), meanwhile the total number of Countries enjoying at least a medal is up to 22 (in just 14 events), making Judo one of the most widely spread sports in the World when it comes to high level performance.

Great championship for Canada. Even on our men's side we are starting to get some depth, Ilya Kharun may be a person to watch.

Now if only we can get some progress in breaststroke. The women's side is getting better, but on the men's side it was backstroke specialist Javier Acevedo who did the breaststroke leg during the relay final.
