  5. Update: For 5 Team Quotas: For 3 Individual Quotas:
  6. In terms of artistic swimming Olympic qualification, do the scores count from prelims or finals?
  7. Francois Gauthier-Drapeau follows that up with men’s -81kg bronze. Second round exit for Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard in women’s -63kg (she’s #1 in the world rankings, although judging off her results, I can’t justify her position)
  8. IJF Grand Slam Paris | Paris, France Day 2 Women’s 63kg Gold- Clarisse Agbegnenou Silver- Katarina Kristo Bronze- Lucy Renshall Bronze- Gankhaich Bold Very disappointing 2nd round exit for Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard, and not a very promising sign heading into Paris. Women’s 70kg Gold- Miriam Butkereit Silver- Marie Eve Gahie Bronze- Barbara Matic Bronze- Margaux Pinot Men’s 73kg Gold- Tatsuki Ishihara Silver- Giorgi Chikhelidze Bronze- Akil Gjakova Bronze- Shakhram Akhadov Men’s 81kg Gold- Matthias Casse Silver- Zelim Tckaev Bronze- Francois Gauthier Drapeau Bronze- Timur Arbuzov Full Results (Found a better site for live results)
  9. Good for Simoneau, but it happened in a non-Olympic qualifying event, so I couldn’t care less to be honest. Hopefully we can qualify either a team or duet later on.
  10. Mirela Rahneva wins gold in women’s skeleton at the Sigulda WC!
  11. Skeleton WC Sigulda | Sigulda, Latvia Women Gold- Mirela Rahneva (1:43.10) Silver- Kim Meylemans (1:43.38) Bronze- Hannah Neise (1:43.41) Full Results Men Gold- Yin Zheng (1:40.82) Silver- Marcus Wyatt (1:41.00) Bronze- Matt Weston (1:41.16) Full Results
  12. Wayne Pinnock opens up his 2024 season with a 8.34m in men’s long jump at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic!
  13. Snowboard Cross WC Gudauri | Gudauri, Georgia Another racing day tomorrow, hopefully this time I won’t fall asleep Women Gold- Chloe Trespeuch Silver- Eva Adamczykova Bronze- Sophie Hediger Men Gold- Eliot Grondin Silver- Cameron Bolton Bronze- Alessandro Hammerle Full Results
  14. Another gold for Elliot Grondin in men’s snowboard cross at the Gudauri WC!
  15. Had to do some research to figure this one out. The first tie breaker you have to remove the DD (Degree of Difficulty) scores, and the athlete with the better recalculated score receives the better rank. Since both Vinecki and Scott did a a back double full-full, it went to a second tiebreaker. The second tiebreaker was whichever athlete has the better air and form score. Vinecki scored 5.20 and 10.30, compared to 5.20 and 10.20 hence why she got the gold medal.
  16. Three medal day at the Alleghe ski cross WC, with Reece Howden winning gold on the men’s side, and Marielle Thompson and Brittany Phelan winning gold and silver on the women’s side
  17. Ski Cross WC Alleghe | Alleghe, Italy … wasn’t able to watch it as I fell asleep midway through the snowboard cross WC Watching replays doesn’t give me the same level of excitement. Men Gold- Reece Howden Silver- Florian Wilmsmann Bronze- Johannes Aujesky Women Gold- Marielle Thompson Silver- Brittany Phelan Bronze- Marielle Berger Sabbatel Full Results
  18. And a first ever WC victory for Alexandre Duchaine at the Deer Valley aerials WC!
  19. Aerials WC Deer Valley | Deer Valley, United States Men Gold- Alexandre Duchaine (102.57) Silver- Connor Curran (102.22) Bronze- Qi Guangpu (100.81) Women Gold- Winter Vinecki (77.90) Silver- Danielle Scott (77.90) Bronze- Abbey Willcox (76.85) @dullard Had higher hopes for Marion Thenault, after her 96.58 in qualification, but she finishes in 12th. Still, it’s the first competition back for her after crashing during a training run in Kuusamo so a nice step in the right direction. Full Results
  20. I have to admit, I didn’t have high hopes either, but this edition of the skills challenge turned out better than I expected. Petey won the Passing Challenge, Hughes beat Makar by 0.001 for fastest d-man in the Fastest Skater Challenge, and a nice 6th for Millsy in his all-star debut McDavid ended up winning it, including the final event which he designed (The Obstacle Course Challenge, which counted for double points) so it would’ve been pretty embarrassing to see him place anywhere other than first. Only event where he did bad was the Goalie Challenge (where he got one of the easiest goalies in Georgiev and still only managed to score 3 points) Commentators were glazing him like crazy though, had to mute my TV whenever they mentioned him. Kucherov was dreadful, looked like he didn’t give a f*ck.
  21. Meeting Indoor Miramas Metro Pole Live Stream (WA Indoor Tour Silver) BKK Freundenberg High Jump Meeting Live Stream (WA Indoor Tour Bronze) Meeting Metz Moselle Live Stream (WA Indoor Tour Sillver)
  22. Christa Deguchi and Jessica Klimkait win women’s -57kg silver and bronze at the Paris GS. Disappointing. The gold medalist (Faiza Mokdar) won’t even be competing at Paris though, as the French federation has already selected their judoka in that weight category (Sarah Leonie Cysique)
  23. IJF Grand Slam Paris | Paris, France Day 1 Women’s 48kg Gold- Shirine Bouklii Silver- Wagana Koga Bronze- Laurita Martinez Bronze- Assunta Scutto Women’s 52kg Gold- Distia Krasniqi Silver- Chelsea Giles Bronze- Ariane Toro Soler Bronze- Kisumi Omori Women’s 57kg Gold- Faiza Mokdar Silver- Christa Deguchi Bronze- Sarah Leonie Cysique Bronze- Jessica Klimkait Canada has the two top women in this weight-class by a mile, and yet we still couldn’t manage to win gold Men’s 60kg Gold- Luka Mkheidze Silver- Lee Harim Bronze- Nakamura Taiki Bronze- Francisco Garrigos Men’s 66kg Gold- Takeoka Takeshi Silver- Joshiro Maruyama Bronze- Narmandakh Bayanmunkh Bronze- David Garcia Torne Full Results
  24. Mixed bag so far on Day 1. Jacqueline Simoneau qualified for the solo technical final, placing 3rd in prelims. On the other hand, Mia Vallee doesn’t look to be in good form, placing 15th to miss the women’s 1m springboard final.
